Summary

She was a journalist from 2050. Now she wakes up in another century — in a Mughal-inspired court where power is everything and mistakes get people killed. They think she’s just a maid. Small. Replaceable. Easy to ignore. They don’t know she remembers a future that hasn’t happened yet, or that she understands politics better than most men in the palace. And then she crosses paths with the grand vizier. His calm unsettles her — disturbing, yet somehow steadying the chaos inside her chest. She sees the blood on his hands, watches him kill and nearly be killed, and still not a flicker of fear passes through her eyes. He reads danger in her and she reads destiny in him. She understands the weight of fate sitting in the lines of his palms. She doesn’t know if she will ever return to her own time. But God help her — now she isn’t sure she even wants to. …but it never goes as planned. Destiny joins hands with time and starts playing its own game.
