Cartas de Perdón a la Primavera

Summary

Cosa

He vivido diecisiete años en este cuerpo

y todavía no aprendo a habitarlo sin sentirme

un escaparate.

Nunca he sido bonita,

solo he sido visible

Quise tanto,

tan desesperadamente,

que un día dejé de saber

qué carajo significaba “belleza”

si no era un precio.

Mis rizos pelean conmigo cada mañana.

Los estiro, los aplasto, los insulto.

A veces creo que si fuera lacia

la vida sería más dócil,

más suave,

más… bonita.

Qué ridiculez,

y qué verdadera al mismo tiempo.

Mi nariz se siente demasiado grande,

mi piel demasiado morena,

mis pestañas demasiado cortas,

mi cuerpo demasiado “B”.

“Copa B”…

como si la B significara “bastante poco”.

Nunca seré guapa sin ser cosificada,

pienso a veces.

Nunca seré vista sin ser leída

como algo que se toma.

Y aquí estoy,

desnuda sin quitarme la ropa,

intentando explicar

clasificar,

desear,

desmenuzar.

Maggie Varnum: Like that it was fast paced and suspenseful...loved the romance up ended a little to fast ...would have been better if there was a Luna ceremony chapter and a birth of son with name chapter with Cole as a dramatic dad in the delivery scene .... Overall I enjoyed it very much!
