Archived of the Damned

"Loved this book! Suspense, intrigue, good female lead - you don't always know what she is thinking. I like Black, he's always there but very mysterious. Can't wait for the next book. I definitely recommend reading this!"

Gripping story, would recommend

"I'll be honest and this'll be long and unprofessional. The novel is still ongoing so I'll have to update once the Author completes it, but here we go. I started this novel cuz the exhaustion and over-worked vibe felt real and the couple dynamic caught my attention in the first chapter. It wasn't the kind that gripped onto you, it was more so unsettling. Like a power dynamic but Faye played it weirdly equal. It made the disbalance between them feel off and suspenseful. And it also made me want to read more 😭. I was sad when the case started without him but his influence could be felt throughout. And I loved the part where the author called him "Princess". Like this guy had just acted out a full interrogation sequence and the author note at the bottom is just "this is how princess is sitting" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it seriously killed me. His parts were definitely my favorite cuz I love the development of their relationship and I love the way the author framed it. She stabbed him TWICE 🤣🤣. I LOVED that. The council members also have my heart, I relate with Faye cuz she's so effing (mind the cursing, I don't really know if it's allowed) exhausted. Like sometimes I genuinely felt like she was gonna faint and I really hope the author makes her cuz no way she can survive under this kinda pressure without going insane. Then my baby Marcus. I so love him and his support. He's the grounding force after what happened in the goodbye's chapter (low-key pissed at that) but I guess it shows that the author's doing well, cuz I DESPISE, LOATHE the useless faculty. As a first time reader, I can definitely see the potential and I can see exactly what the author is hoping to achieve and I LOVE it. I'm just scared someone's gonna die, but here's to hoping they don't. For the criticism: There are minor grammatical errors and sometimes the pacing shifts mid-paragraph. It's not TOO abrupt but does kinda slow the flow by a bit. I would also recommend slightly clarifying the Academy's majors, cuz I had to re-read that a few times (since I'm an idiot) but the PPT drawn pic helped a lot 🤣. Sometimes it feels like Faye is hiding ALOT, I love how strategic she is with the things she tells her friends, but sometimes it's like she's hiding it from us too. Though in the recent chapters something's are starting to click, so I think that's intentional 🤔. Overally it's definitely a 4.5/5 so far, hopefully the plot only thickens going forward. Best of luck to the author, I'm looking forward to the next chapters! Edit: Why's it showing only 3 chapters read 😭 what have I been commenting on then inkitt??"
