*The new year had begun, and the children who had graduated from the second grade had now moved on to the third grade. She whispered the spell, “Maximum Praesidium.” As she whispered it, a white ball of light quickly struck the ceiling and vanished. Bloodworth asked, “Who did that, children?” There was no response from the children. “It’s unimportant. However, if you do it again, I will punish you.” Professor Grey quickly said, “No.” Bloodworth was surprised. “Questioning me is questioning the Ministry, even the Minister.” Professor Grey said, “That’s right, I was there when the rules were written. But giving punishment is solely the presiding officer’s prerogative!” Bloodworth said, “We’ll see...” He chuckled and went to the teachers’ table. -
