The Day the World Began
The world did not begin with fire or thunder.
It began with breath.
On the same morning, in three different places, three small lives took their first trembling inhale.
In a quiet farm where the earth was dark and rich, a piglet slid into the world, warm and shaking, and cried for the first time. The farmer’s wife smiled and said, “This one is strong.” She named him Bato.
In a wooden coop filled with feathers and soft noise, a small chick broke free from its shell. The sun touched her eyes, and she chirped as if greeting the sky. They called her Araw.
And in a river that carried the reflection of clouds, a tiny silver fish darted through light for the first time. The old turtle watched and whispered, “Little one, you will be called Lumi.”
None of them knew each other.
None of them knew the world.
And none of them knew yet…
that their lives were already part of someone else’s survival.
