"The slow-burn tension in this book is crafted masterfully. From the very first chapter, during that intense job interview, the dynamic between them was electric. I loved how Josephine boldly turned the tables and asked Saimon about the team's biggest problem. It immediately established her as a strong, capable engineer, not just a timid applicant. I really enjoyed how she later handled the hospital project presentation in Chapter 13. She remained professional and composed, effortlessly putting Lisa in her place with her pure expertise. It’s refreshing to read about a female lead who is genuinely competent and focused on her career! Saimon’s magnetic presence is captured brilliantly throughout. The garden scene in Chapter 12 with the cigarette and the heavy silence was highly cinematic. And Chapter 14 provided such a wonderful, cozy contrast — the London rain, Kitty the cat, and the sweet phone call with Helen. But that final realization in the dark... wow. You really showed that while Josephine can take a break from the office, she can't escape her own heart. It’s a wonderfully atmospheric read. The ending leaves just enough unsaid to keep Saimon and Josephine in my thoughts. Amazing job, and thank you for sharing such a beautifully written story!"
