Interesting, but puzzling too.

"I rated this lower than I normally would have ONLY because in my opinion, this story needed more context. It was too short. I was intrigued right from the start, but I wanted more. The author is talented, but I'm not sure what they were aiming for? Maybe a series of short stories? I'm not sure, but for me personally, this is a story I would have loved to see more of. This would be a great intro/prologue to a thriller even for a 20k short story. Although I would prefer a full novel 60 to 80k words with a full plot. Regardless, this story has teeth, and I hope the author would like to expand this further. There is great potential here!"
