The Beginning of the Journey
The sun had just risen over the colorful cityscape, casting an orange-ish hue on the landmarks and iconic buildings that made up the City of Angels. I awoke with a start, feeling a little anxious for what the day ahead might bring. Today, I was finally going to start my new life, my chance at making it in the cutthroat but glamorous world of Hollywood.
I took a deep breath before freshening up and heading out of my cramped, cheap motel room and off to my first audition. I stepped out into the bustling streets and walked the nearly 3 miles towards my desired destination. Finally, after a long walk, I arrived and was greeted by an upbeat receptionist, who handed me a script as I nervously waited outside the audition room.
I close my eyes and focus, steeling my nerves to give the best performance I can.
