The wizard packed their satchel and looked one last time around the cottage. They had been chased out of every town, every village, and now the authorities were clamping down. There were two paths ahead of them - one to the beach, and another into the forest. Even once they had made their decision, they could hear the approaching hooves of horses from the village. It was now or never.
