In a small town, there lived a boy named Jerry.
His nature was unpredictable.
At times, he disappeared into silence.
At other times, he opened up completely.
Jerry worked as a software engineer in a small startup.
That was where he met someone important in his life.
Her name was Natasha.
She was his senior in the company,
but she never behaved like one.
She supported him during very tough situations.
They worked together in the same company for one year.
Jerry secretly loved her.
But he never told her.
He didn’t want to break their friendship.
One day, the company planned a camping trip.
Jerry didn’t want to go.
Natasha messaged him.
“You are going with us.”
Jerry replied,
“No, I am not coming.”
He didn’t like camping.
He didn’t want to go with the company team.
Natasha replied again,
“Don’t make me angry.
If you don’t come with us,
then don’t talk to me ever.”
Jerry replied in a funny way,
“Okay.”
He didn’t think much about it.
Jerry believed the conversation from last night
was just a joke between them.
Nothing serious.
But the next day at the office,
during lunch break,
everyone was talking about the trip.
About Jerry not coming.
Suddenly, Natasha shouted,
“Don’t take his name.
He is not important.”
She said many hurtful things.
Jerry was there.
He heard everything.
But he didn’t create any scene.
He didn’t argue.
He didn’t defend himself.
He was just deeply sad
to see his friend behaving like this.

they didn’t talk to each other
for four months.
