Day One: Laughter Is The Best Medicine
Trevor settled into his chair with a groan and looked around the room at his three closest friends. Richard, Sarah, and Claire; His stalwart companions. They had all come together to celebrate a special occasion; One that had, unfortunately, become rarer in these days. It was a night to just hang out, enjoy each others company, and laugh until their stomachs hurt.
“Alright, who’s up first?” Trevor asked, as he glanced around the room, a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
Richard, always the serious one of the bunch, raised his hand. “Me-me. I’ve got a great one.”
The room suddenly filled with energy, as the group surged forward in anticipation.
And for the rest of the evening, each of the friends took turns hilariously entertaining the group with their best and worst jokes. They laughed uproariously; embracing the joy and camaraderie that only laughter can bring.
When it was finally time to go home, Trevor walked away feeling lighter and more free than he had in months. The previous worries of the day now forgotten, replaced with a warmth that only good friends can bring.
