Chapter 1

KARA'S P.O.V

"Everyone please make a single file line and wait to be given further instruction. Your co-operation is highly appreciated", the robotic female voice droned out for the umpteenth time in three hours. Who knew the wait to the new world would be so boring.

It's kinda sad having to leave this Earth. All my memories are here, but I can't stay here, at least not after the great explosion. The great explosion killed most of the earths animals and majority of the population. No one really knows what caused it and I don't think we'll ever truly know.

Not everyone has been fortunate enough to make to the new earth. You have to be part of the few chosen and who would've thought that a girl from Mabiza would be one of the chosen ones. I should be grateful that I finally have a chance to leave Mabiza, I've wanted this for the longest time, but something just doesn't feel right about all of this.

I mean Mabiza has never really been part of the global conversation. Most people don't even know it exists. So why were we even part of the chosen? I wish I could call someone or just talk to them, but my best friend and I were separated and told we could see each other again on the spaceship, we also aren't allowed to communicate among each other right now or allowed any communication devices.

They say that we are going to look for ways to safely transport the remaining population, but that doesn't seem right. I just think that they should have selected people more renowned in their fields. From what I can see most of us weren't even the top of our class in university. So what can we possibly achieve that would be exceptional.
