Start of a Spectacular Journey
The galaxy was alive with the chatter of a thousand stars, each far away enough that the gods of this cosmic garden would never notice the motes of dust gathering in its center. But, then again, the gods had made the galaxy their playground, and they did indeed notice the gathering of these motes. It was a sign, a portent that the universe had taken notice of the heroes before them and was preparing for something grand and spectacular.
The heroes – five in total – sat in the launch chamber of their ship, the Audacity. It was here they would carry out the mission at the behest of the gods. The ships advanced AI, Cevorphel, guided them through the pre-launch sequence, the atmosphere in the cramped chamber a mix of excitement and trepidation.
“We are ready for launch,” Cevorphel announced.
The heroes looked around at each other, wondering if this was it, the moment when their lives changed forever. They all closed their eyes, steeling themselves for whatever might come.
And with that, the mission began.
The heroes brace themselves for launch and the ship takes off into space.
