CHAPTER ONE: DIANA OF THEMYSCIRA

from the world of man lies an island shrouded in great mystery: Paradise Island or as many people know it as “Themscaryia”. It is home to the race of warrior women “The Amazons” who have sworn off man. Led by the granddaughter of Zeus, Hippolyta, the Amazons have lived in secret away from the horrors of the outside world. But it originally wasn’t like this.

“Hey! Stop that girl!“, a woman shouted, as a young girl, wearing a black hood, sprinted through the streets of Themyscira, after stealing some fruit from a store. The young girl is then stopped and her hood is taken off to reveal Diana, the daughter of Hippolyta and princess of Paradise Island. Hippolyta gives the fruit back to the store clerk before carrying her daughter back into their home.

That night, Hippolyta is tucking Diana into bed. “Can you tell me a story mother?” Diana asks. “Sure which one? The Odssey? Thesis Vs The Minotaur? Twelve Labours of Heracles?” asked Hippolyta. “How about the origin of us?” “Ah not again.” Hippolyta chuckles before using magic to put Diana into a trance to show her the story.

“Long before the birth of Paradise Island, the earth was created when a giant blue hand opened up to create the entire known universe. Before the Greek gods, there were the Titans created by Gaia and Uranus. But one day, one of their children Kronos decided to take over and took down Uranus making him into the sky and Gaia as the Earth itself while throwing his brothers and sisters into Tartarus.”

“Kronus later learned that one of his children would overthrow him so he decided to eat all of his children. But his wife Rhea gave birth to Zeus and gave Kronus a rock in his place. Zeus would later grow up until he was old enough and tricked Kronus to spit out his children leading to these people becoming the “Gods of Olympus” and working with other monsters creating the Masterbolt and defeating Chronos and the Titans and throwing them into Tartarus.”

“Zeus and the other Greek gods would go on to protect the people of Greece while giving birth to many other gods. But there was one god who loved power more than anything, Ares the son of Zeus. Ares convinced Hera and other gods to attempt a cue against Zeus but this failed and Ares was banished from Mount Olympus with all blame being put onto him.”

“When I was born” Hippolyta exclaimed. “I disliked my father Ares and was one of the many people that helped take him down. For this, Hera gifted me and the other Amazons a island to live away from men which is now the island that we stand on to this day. But one day, I wanted a daughter and through magic I skulpted u out of clay and through a blessing from Zeus u were born Diana!”

Hippolyta sees Diana fell asleep and then finished tucking her daughter into bed and kissed her goodnight before heading off walking by a armour and a mysterious golden lasso.

Walker of the Dark: Short but definitely intense and amazing. Rage and Aspen were amazing together and I am glad to see a woman who is strong, determined on what she wants and well connected as a bonus. Also enjoyed seeing how even the Mafias is not all "stable" and how a bad bean can spread like wildfire if not contro...
