Kate stood on the boardwalk in Cape May, New Jersey, her heart pounding in her chest. She had made the spontaneous decision to take a summer-long road trip to clear her mind and find closure to the devastating heartbreak she had experienced. She had been planning it for weeks, and now she was ready to start this new journey.
The salty breeze blew through her hair and she breathed in the salty air. All around her people were laughing and enjoying their summer days; some were walking with their families and others had already hit the beach.
Kate looked out at the horizon, taking in the beautiful ocean view. The sun was starting to set, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore filled her with a sense of peace and excitement. She was ready to start this new adventure and find the answers she had been searching for.
