What is your opinion?

Blood of the Fallen

"A strong start to a harsh gritty story, fueled by fantastical realism and the amount of adventure that has you almost falling off your seat. The characters are easy to bond with and the story is incredibly made. The mathsy (definitely a word) language used to strengthen the idea of a kingdom looking at the world through straight lines and geometry is used to incorporate the reader into the book, but some people may find it a difficult read due to this. But overall, I would greatly recommend this series -starting with this great book- as one to read if dark adventure fantasy is your preference."

Awesome Adventure!

"What a ride! This fantasy is a definitive exercise in character growth, world building and none stop action that I've been looking for. The author paints a picture that's a privilege to watch unfurl. I can't wait to read more! Great job! "

Very Intrigued

"I have mixed opinions on this novel. First & foremost is I find the tale intriguing, I really do. It's different from the action/marshal fighting stories I've read. The character development is great. The world has some depth. The plot feels thought out, & it keeps me coming back as I want to know what happens next. That brings me to the mix. The plot keep me coming back even though things don't always make sense. The plot may feel really thought out, but the story doesn't, at least not is the details as the story moves along. There's a lot of contridiction at times, or things change chapter to chapter or even paragraph to paragraph. The timeline feels off sometimes. Moments repeat with little changes even though they are meant to be new moments. (I know in real life deja vu happens, but in a book it feels like copy/paste). The flow is just not smooth as I feel it should be; its rough. Don't get me wrong, I love a wild rollercoaster ride, but I'd rather not be left with severe whiplash. Basically, I think/feel this book really needs edited. Like don't get rid of moments, just polish them, line the details out. For example, does the MC carry twin short blades or a long & dagger? I get sometimes people switch weapons, but I believe the King only made 1 set & the set can't be both. Stuff like that. All that said. I cannot wait to read book two. I guess I am ok with a bit of whiplash. Thanks for sharing your story. "

Im so torn

"This book had so much potential. The first half was great and I was thoroughly enjoying it. But then when the main character went to the academy, its like the author gave up and started using AI to write it. It became childish games, the characters fell flat and Im left skimming paragraphs searching for the substance the first half of the book had. The strength, resolve, intuition and maturity that the main character had developed in the first part all fell away to become a child that doesnt look anything like the man the character used to be. Its like im reading 2 different books. "
