Chapter 1

The city hummed with a cacophony of neon signs and the distant thrum of hovercars weaving through the shadows. Novaโ€™s gaze was fixed on the skyline; the way lights danced across the mirrored towers never failed to mesmerize her. Yet today, her mind was elsewhere. With a determined look, she headed towards the forgotten tech bazaar, a relic of the past hidden beneath the bustling metropolis.

As she descended into the maze of debris and dust, the air became cooler, carrying a scent of iron and memories. Discarded screens and outdated consoles lay strewn across the floor, like bones from a long-forgotten era of innovation. Novaโ€™s fingers brushed against the remnants of old circuits and tangled wires until they halted at an unfamiliar shape buried beneath a collapsed stall.

It was a small, rusted box, its surface etched with intricate symbols that glistened faintly under the dim light. Her heart raced with a mix of fear and excitement as she delicately lifted it, feeling its surprising weight. As her fingers traced the lines of the markings, the box emitted a soft hum, awakening something unforeseen within itโ€”as if it too had been waiting for this moment.

As she sat cross-legged on the floor, Nova carefully examined the box from every angle. It seemed to pulse gently in her hands, inviting yet enigmatic. With bated breath, she pressed the tip of her finger against a symbol that resembled an open eye. The box responded instantly, emitting a stream of flickering lights and sounds that seemed almost like whispers, resonating in the silent corners of her mind.

The whispers grew louder, forming a symphony of coded melodies. Each note seemed to carry a fragment of language she couldnโ€™t understand but felt deep within her soul. The box was speaking to her, weaving mysteries and promises into the air around herโ€”a doorway to realms unseen, a submerged world tapping out a rhythm only Nova could hear.

A sudden wave of responsibility crashed over her. This discovery, whatever it was, held powerโ€”the kind that could reshape the foundations of her city, and perhaps herself. She knew instinctively it was the start of something far greater than a buried tech trinket, something that demanded to be deciphered.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
