Captivating
"I very much enjoyed the story, & cannot wait for the next. Like book 1, this story's plot just draws me in, but unlike the first, I feel that this book flows much smoother. It still has some hickups, to me anyway, & could use some editing. But the plot is solid. It still repeats moments, occasionally. Like when debreifing, I understand it needs to happen, but it doesnt need to be share basically word for word or even slightly altered. Just stating the debrif was given stoikly & how it affected those listen would be great. Towards the later chapters, the end of the prior chapter & the beginning of the next shared very similar paragraphs, like a review of what just happened, I don't feel that's necessary, it shudders the flow. Here's my biggest aggrivation taht I can currently think of, & I'm going to say this without, hopefully, specific spoilers. I understand the written reasoning of WHY it had to happen & to WHO, that logic is sound. I of course dislike it, but the reality has always been that it was going to happen, point blank. My issue in terms of the writing, in terms of "well thought out strategy" is I do not understand "the math" of the staughter in the tent. The logic was flawless up to that point, there was no logical or tactical reason to justify that action. To cause fear, perhaps, maybe they got to cocky, or just caving to bloodlust, idk feels like a strech either way. Instead, it felt exactly like it was. The excuse the story required for them to loose their cover. HOW it played out, though, was fitting & painful & unfortunately perfect. Again, I completely look forward to the next one & appreciate the chance to read this story. Thanks for sharing!"
