What is your opinion?

Like all masterpieces, it seemed small & simple!

"The Death of Ghosts by Benblake is a read-worthy story with good formatting & very few grammar probs, if any at all. The story of a village protected from a dangerous forest close by, and the people living there, in obviously older times. Burning Times late medieval. No phone juggling teenagers banging each other on Lover's Lane. Protagonist Linth is not exactly my kinda character, quite an anti social asshole. Even, when people are helpful aka useful to him. Spoiled brat kinda bookworm idiot. The story flow is continuous through all chapters, though I found some text is too much on insignificant parts of the tale. All characters are believable. The abusive Jarl, who maltreats his daughter, convinced that he is just toughening-her-up for the adult life before her. The Jarl's daughter, only sabotaged off being a wise woman, shaman, or herbalist, by that daddy's fists massaging her face once too often (PTSD & her inability to handle it). The list goes on, and all characters FIT the story without seeming overpowered, or too random. A weakness, which was once supposed a strength: The love for foreign words that are not needed at all. When a NAISEN is merely a wise woman, then there is no reason to dish us another Pseudo-Latin charade (I am European, we had that for centuries). This once seemed more cultivated, well-traveled & educated, but it is by now also known to be in the bag of tricks founding frauds, escaped loonies, and other criminal threats to the community. PLUS: It can spoil the flow and clarity of the story, for which the author had invested quite some work. Trick: Go with the version your readers appreciate, or craft both and sell them in one ebook. Chapter 7 became an abrupt ending, so the story is not fully finished. With the potential the story already includes, especially, when all major characters `live on´, this may become a very impressive & quite atmospheric work. Kudos."
