Rainbow Squad/Origins Pt. 1

It was a pretty sunny day in Miami, Florida. As I was enjoying a day at the beach on Friday, May 6, 1985. With my two friends 16 year old Molly Heart dress in her yellow bikini and 16 year old Betty Solar in her black swimsuit. Who were having a good time as I was swinging in the water within my pink bikini who quickly notice something strange within the sky. That everyone seem to be noticing as I spoke. That is one crazy light show. They both agree with me as Betty spoke. This is most unusual. For they seem to resemble the Northern lights. Molly reply. Aren’t those suppose to be way.....up north? Betty reply. In the matter of fact yes. This was pretty weird for it wasn’t until three days later it got really weird. For I was walking down the sidewalk with a bag containing my new summer dress. When the wind blew off my wonderful hat and landed in the alleyway next to me. Not wanting to lose it I went in there where this older man popped out from behind the dumpster and tried to grab me. Only to suddenly kicked the man’s butt in a couple of seconds. Who stood over him with a confused expression, since I’ve never fought like that before. Who found it weird and quickly grabbed my hat before leaving right away.

Rainbow Squad/Origins Pt. 2

Thinking about this while hurrying myself home. Then risk running into the police and getting blamed for what happened. Even though I was only defending myself. I thought to myself that maybe it was something I learned from one of my dads action movies. Since we usually watch them once every two weeks. Until two days later when walking home from my high school like normal. That these six boys dressed like gang members approached me near the ice cream stand that one of them standing at 5′7, short dark brown hair and light blue color eyes spoke to me while smiling. Yo pretty girl. Where are you going in such a rush? I stopped and spoke. Move out of my way. The boy reply in this grumpy voice. Oh yah, make it. That’s when one of the guys tried to grab me from behind. Who in an instant manage to knock him and the others down like a professional fighter. Who knew right there and then that something wasn’t right. Who decided to speak with Betty about this at her parents apartment a block away from my place. She sat down with me within her living room and spoke. Hm....I must admit. Ever since we saw those strange lights at the beach. I’ve been feeling much smarter then usual. Curious I asked. What about Molly? That’s when Betty told me with a concern expression. You should come an see for yourself. Who followed her towards the bathroom and knocked at the door before speaking. Molly, Alice is here and need to show her. Who heard our friend rely. Are to you sure? Betty reply. I’m afraid so. Who didn’t know what was going on until she opened the door and showed me.

Rainbow Squad/Origins Pt. 3

Standing there before us our friend Molly skin had turn completely light blue who was shock by this and spoke. What happen? Betty explained that Molly turn this color shortly after returning home from the beach. Who also said she could breath underwater. I was truly shock by this and spoke. Betty what’s happening to us? Our friend spoke. It seems we’ve all been exposed to an unknown energy source. Giving us what many would simply call Super Powers. I couldn’t believe this as I suddenly turn orange and Betty purple. Molly gasp and spoke. This is crazy! She wasn’t the only one feeling this way. Who calm myself down an asked. Do you think others were infected? Betty began to think and spoke. It might be possible. Though finding them would take a very long time”. When we heard somebody knocking at the door. Who somehow quickly change back to normal before Betty answered the door. Revealing it to be 17 year old Jasmine Thunder an her two friends 16 year old Sarah Star and 17 year old Jing Liu. Who also attend the same high school as us. Facing her Betty spoke. Can I help you with something? Jasmine spoke. We....need your help. Curious Betty invited them inside and quickly saw them change color to green, red and pink. With us quickly changing colors again as well. Which cause Sarah to speak in shock. What in the world?! Before I try to explain this to them. When Jasmine soon spoke. So all of us got super powers from that weird light in the sky. Standing nearby I reply. That’s what Betty said. With all of them surprise by this news and Jing curiously asking. Why did we all change colors? Betty spoke. It might a side affect of our powers. Which would be a big problem if anyone or our parents saw this. We all understood with Sarah now speaking. So....what sort of powers do you got? I spoke. Let’s see. Able to fight really good, Molly can breath underwater and Betty has become super smart”. Who then heard Jing speak. Well from what we’ve scene. Jasmine has super strength, Sarah can fix old machinery and I’m able to create amazing stuff. This was pretty interesting to hear. With Molly speaking. Does that mean we’re superheroes or something? This was a very huge question. As we quickly heard what sound like screaming coming from outside the apartment.

Rainbow Squad/Origins Pt. 4

Unsure of what was going we quickly looked outside and could see there was a large robbery occurring outside at two different stores. With these gang members firing many guns at the nearby police, who weren’t able to get very close. Who kept looking and spoke. Those guys look the ones who tried to stop me at the ice cream stand. Jasmine reply. That’s because their members of the Chain Gang. Miami’s second most dangerous street gang. I was shock to hear this as Sarah spoke in this somewhat nervous voice. I know this is gong to sound crazy. But....shouldn’t we help the police? Molly respond. We can’t, they’ve got guns and could easily shoot us. Jasmine respond. She right. We’re only teenage girls who’s skin changes colors. I stood there and spoke. Yeah, but we also have super powers. That can do good for this city. If all of us work together. The girls began thinking hard about this. Until Betty spoke. Alice is correct, we could stop this gang. But require some disguises and would have to avoid their guns as well. The girls kept thinking as Jasmine soon spoke. I’m going to regret this. But what’s the plan? I slightly smiled and spoke. We wait for them to leave and then hit them tonight at their hideout. The plan was smart as Jing spoke. I’ll get the costumes ready. Who then worked out the rest before later meeting up at 9:00pm. Who found ourselves at this old shutdown garage. Where we all meted outside with Jasmine whispering. This is where they’ve been recently hanging out. We all understood as Jing gave us these colorful jump suits that were colorful like the rainbow. That we all put on and these upper masks as well. So they wouldn’t recognize us as we soon sneaked inside. Where we saw them watching television until we came in, caught them all off guard and manage to kick their butts. Who stood there and had Betty call the cops at a pay phone. Before we all quickly took off before the police arrived.

Rainbow Squad/Training Day

I was visiting Molly’s place with the others girls where we were listening to the radio news report. Saying how members of the chain gang were brought down by a mystery group of colorful-outfit ladies brought them down. While leaving all the stolen money and weapons. Who smiled as Molly whispered. Us girls that’s who. We all giggle a little bit as Molly’s father Mr. Mark Heart brought us some lemonade to enjoy before going back inside. Jing drank some and spoke. So we’ve got the costumes an the powers. But we still need a name. The girls an I knew she was right. As we all began to think with me looking up at the sky and then speaking. “How about Rainbow Squad”? They all thought about this with Sarah speaking. I like it. Who then heard Jing and Betty agreeing. As the others quickly did as well, who now heard me speak. Then that’s what we’ll call ourselves from now on. Who kept enjoying our lemonade in peace. Who listen to Jasmine speak. Listen girls. I think some of us should learn how to fight better. Maybe put on some more muscle too, just in case. The group thought about it as Molly asked. Any idea of where we can do that? Jasmine smiled and told us about her Uncle Chima’s Gym. Where we could practice our boxing and lift some weights. With me offering to teach a few self-defense moves. Who began doing this for a couple of days. While also working on controlling our powers as well. To make sure we didn’t hurt anyone by accident. Who did this for nearly two weeks. Before picking out our own code names. Rather then risk people finding out who we really are under the mask. I choose mine to be Orange Girl. Molly would be called Blue Girl, Jing; Red Girl; Jasmine; Yellow and Sarah; Green Girl. Who took to the streets and soon began taking on other members of the Chain Gang. Kicking their butts and leaving them for the police. While also having a blast, unaware we were attracting dangerous attention.

Rainbow Squad/Bosses Orders

For while we were doing so, it was somewhere else within Miami. That the Chain Gang were having themselves a secret meeting in their main hideout with their boss currently speaking. While facing one of his top gang members. What do we know about these women? The 25 year old man nearby spoke. Barely anything boss. For they came out of nowhere. Who don’t seem to be apart of any rival gangs. Here within the city or anywhere else. He was mad about this and gave his orders. Have our boys find these strange mask ladies and beat them up, real good. For I won’t have them wreck our reputation. Yet alone embarrass us anymore then they have already. Do I make myself clear? They all got the message. As his fellow gang members got on this right away. Then dare make him more then he is already. For it was two nights later that our team the Rainbow Squad had stopped a couple of small-time thieves across the south part of the city. Who were feeling good about this. When we soon found ourselves in big trouble.

Rainbow Squad/Thick Chain

Surrounded by over 30 armed Chain Gang members, that were wielding knives, Chains, Wooden Baseball Bats and metal Crowbars. Who had nowhere to run or even hide. As I faced them and spoke. What do you jerks want? One of them being 27 years old, while standing at 5′9 began approaching. In these dirty blue jeans, red color shirt and black messy hair. Looking at us with brown color eyes and speaking. My name is Doug Hound, leader of the Chain Gang. Who’s pretty mad about you throwing a bunch of my guys behind bars. So now....we want payback. This was pretty obvious as they quickly began attacking us from all sides. The girls an I quickly began to fight for our lives. Beating up guys left an right, while sticking close together. Knowing one mere slip up could mean disaster. Who quickly found myself taking on Doug, who fought like a black belt in karate. He threw kicks and some punches, but I kept dodging and hitting back for about seven minutes. Before smacking him hard enough to fall over onto the ground. With a lot of his other guys pretty beaten up as well. He looked up at me and spoke. Who are you? I spoke. We’re the Rainbow Squad. That’s bringing justice to Miami. Before hearing the cops rushing over. We quickly took off on foot as they showed up and began making their biggest arrest ever scene. Who heard Doug shout in anger. I’ll get my revenge! Who brush this off and left with the girls, knowing our amazing adventure has just begun.

Rainbow Squad/Beach Mayhem

It had been a busy three days of doing home work, chores and evening crime fighting. That put many members of the Miami Boys, the biggest street gang in Miami behind bars. That was attracting lot’s of attention to us. That made the girls an I feeling pretty good about being super heroes. While forming a study group at my place. Where everything was going well. Until we all started to hear what sound like screaming outside. Causing Sarah to speak. What’s going on? I was wondering that very same question. Who looked outside and could see it was coming from the direction of the beach. Knowing it couldn’t be good we sneaked out and rush over there. Where we soon saw this man within a metal diving suit, with a huge pump device on his back and these long hoses attach to both his arms. That were blasting beach goers with powerful bursts of water. Forcing them to flee from the area while having pretty bad bruises. Surprise by this Molly spoke. Who is that? I reply. Whoever he is, he’s wrecking everyone’s day at the beach. The girls agreed as we quickly ducked into a private spot and change into our outfits. Before confronting him and me speaking in a serious voice. Hey beach bully! Don’t you know the beach is for everyone! He faced us and spoke. So your the Rainbow Squad that’s been cleaning the city streets. It’s a shame tough, because I’m here to make a big splash. Facing him Jing spoke. Who are you? He told us while standing near the beach water. Dr. Wave Maker. Who quickly saw what looked like robot jellyfish rise up from the water an begin attacking us with their metal tentacles. That were also firing electricity at us as well. The girls an I dodged as we did our best to beat these water robots. While also avoiding his bursts of strong water. Who saw Jasmine smash two of them before getting zapped. Causing her to get mad and grabbed one. Who then used it to smash another one nearby. With the rest of us still fighting. As I tried to take down Dr. Wave Maker myself. Yet my fists an kicks were barely causing him any harm. Due to this strong metal suit, which was not good. As I quickly dodged one of his water blasts before Jasmine rushed in and punched the man’s helmet hard. Causing him to fall backwards into the water. Where he blast the sand and made it splash into our eyes. Who couldn’t see anything and were about to get blasted. When Molly grab these hanging tubes hanging from his pump. Who then squeeze them tight that started making his suit short circuit before it seem to shutdown. Before he fell face first into the wet sand before admitting defeat. Allowing us to defeat our very first super-villain.

Rainbow Squad/Beat-Box

Our group was on the front page news, with everyone expressing how grateful they were for saving them from 30 year old former marine biologist Mike Bold A.K.A Dr. Wave Maker. Who according to the police, claim the tech was sold to him by a mysterious stranger. I found this kind of troubling while sitting outside in the backyard with Betty. Who looked at the newspaper and spoke. I’ve scene a lot of tech before Alice. But what he was wearing was beyond anything normal. Agreeing with her I spoke. Who do you suppose built it? Betty began to think here and spoke. I’m not sure. For there’s been no mention of any inventor or scientist who can create something like this. Understanding this my mother Martha came over with a smile and spoke. Alice, your friend Sarah is on the phone for you.

Rainbow Squad/Rape Thief

Quickly coming over and answering it I spoke. Hey Sarah what’s up? She whispered on the line. Something weird is going on at the park. Hope you can meet me an the others there right away. For it's a....super issue. Understanding the clear message I quickly pass on the message to Betty and later went over there at once. Where we could see something was way off. For a bunch of people here were being forced to hand over their cash, jewelry and even their credit cards over to this one 18 year old African-American boy dress in light color shorts, old running shoes and white sleeveless white shirt. Wearing this light green mask and light color shades with his baseball hat backwards. He spoke to everyone here. Yo, I really appreciate all this dough. You kind folks are giving to me. With his boom box playing loud rap music, while surrounded by these armed robots. Seeing this I spoke to Sarah. We’ve got to stop this guy. Sarah an the others agreed. As we put on our outfits before approaching him. He noticed us and spoke. Yo, what’s up ladies. Let me introduce myself. My name is D.J Techno. Who’s telling you know. It’s time....for a beat. That’s when his twelve robots began attacking us with their metal fists. Although Jasmine and Molly weren’t here, we still held our ground and started smashing his robots while the sacred crowd was fleeing from the scene. As Jing used her powers to turn a nearby busted scooter into her own personal laser gun. That she used to blast all of them into scrap. Which cause the villain to speak. Yo, not cool girl. Before he pressed a button on his boom box that created this horrible loud noise. That caused us a great deal of pain before it stopped. That’s when we could see he was gone.

Rainbow Squad/Double Trouble

For three days we’ve been searching the streets for D.J Techno. But weren’t having much luck as I spoke to them within an alleyway, where Jing manage to shut off the nearby security camera. So we could have ourselves a private conversation. Where do you suppose he went? Betty reply. My guess is he went somewhere to get himself some more robots. Sarah then spoke. If he is. Then there’s no telling when he’s going to strike. The thought of this was concerning me an everyone else. When we quickly heard what sound like an alarm and could see it was a robbery happening three doors down at the Laundry Mate. Who could see these two armed men wearing black masks with white X’s on their foreheads rushing out with stolen cash. Who knew this was bad and watch two nearby officers try to stop them as a shootout quickly broke loose. Who could clearly see the officers were hitting them. Yet they seem to be bulletproof. Which was bad news as they kept firing at the pinned down police officers. We quickly decided to step in and help. As we change into our costumes and hurried over there. With me calling out. Stop where you are! They turn around and notice us quickly approaching. As this red Ford Van quickly appeared from the northern street before stopping in the middle of the road and then saw five armed guys hop out. That started shooting their pistols at us, plus at the police officers nearby. Everyone took cover behind some parked cars with glass shattering. As the two men jumped into the van and quickly fled the scene. With us seeing this from the distance and Molly speaking. Girls, we’ve got a problem. She wasn’t wrong about that. For whoever they were, they’ve got wheels and we’re not messing around.

Rainbow Squad/Watery Defeat

After struggling to catch these guys for two straight days we decided to meet up at my place where everyone listen to me speak. Alright, I’ve done some digging around on the internet. Who thinks we’re dealing with the Bullet Boys. Jasmine reply. I’ve heard of these guys. Their a group of clever thieves from Georgia. That supposedly disappeared last year in October. Sarah now spoke. If that’s true, then what are they doing in Miami? I spoke. They must be planning something big. What it is I don’t know. But we’ve got to catch them before they escape. They all agree as Betty spoke. After doing some calculations. I’ve got a pretty good clue to where they might be hiding. But suggest we head there tonight, before they decide to change their hideout. Agreeing with this we headed for the nearest boat docks where we spotted them hanging around this one large boat. With Molly swinging nearby and the rest of us approaching from two different sides. With Sarah an I getting close when one of them shout. Over there! Who took cover as they began opening fire. Who stayed low as Jasmine and Jing threw smoke bombs at them. Causing them to start coughing an heard one of them spoke. I can’t see! Who watch our teammates approach with Molly sneaking onboard where she knocked one of them out. While they bravely stepped into the smoke and began kicking butt. With the two Bullet Boys leaders fleeing towards the parking lot. Seeing this Sarah, myself and Betty rush towards them. Catching the two guys by surprise as they fought us with their bare hands and soon lost. Who had them hand cuffed and left for the police.
