“Ms. Harris… We all know you’ve mentioned you had a horrid childhood, please explain what happened..” I look out into the audience, everyone waiting for me to speak. I feel my hands get sweaty while gripping onto a microphone. “Um.. I guess it all started when I was in high school.. A sophomore to be exact. It all started when Ada, my— my ex.. Broke up with me ....”

*GASP* I sit up quickly, my sister Jezabel who is still sitting in bed on her phone looks up surprised. “Um.. Are you good?” She asks while she’s not even half in the conversation even before texting happily again. “Yeah.. Just a nightmare.” “Jela, I didn’t ask for your sob story.” I roll my eyes annoyed. I pick up my phone quietly and text my girlfriend Ada. Heyy bby, what are you doing rn? No answer… Oh well she’s probably running late. “MOM!!!” Jezebel screams through the door, “NO! I’M RUNNING LATE!” I shuffle slowly to the kitchen, looking for breakfast, “Mom. Can I-?” *SLAM* She leaves for work. “UGH!!” I yell.

After a bit of time, I get ready, I grab my backpack. And to my surprise Jezabel is still not ready.. You know what? Of course she isn’t, “Jez! Get up right now, you’re still in bed!” I scream, smacking her with my backpack. “OW!! I won’t be late, you go ahead without me.!” I shrug and walk out the door. I run up the street to my girlfriend’s house as she’s walking out the door. “HI BABE!!” I scream! I try to hug Ada when I got close enough, but she lets go of me. “Hey, Jela.” she puts her hood on and scurries away to her cousin Noah, who is dating Jezabel right now.

“Um… ok?” I run to Noah’s side trying to see Ada, “Hey what’s going on with Ada, she never acts like this..” Noah shrugs and peeks at Ada, “I heard she likes this one guy named Mateo.. I don’t know I’m usually wrong about this--” Jezabel suddenly appears behind Noah giving him a big hug, “Baby!! Why won’t you answer my calls?” Wait a minute, who was that she was calling and texting if Noah wasn’t answering her..? “Sorry!!” Noah sighs as he lifts up Jez onto his back. Maybe... Maybe this is all a surprise yeah.. Oh yeah, Ada.. Would she do something like that? No, no no she would f***ing never..“Whatever, Ada wouldn’t do that, of course she wouldn’t.” I say holding my breath.
