Chapter 1
Nova drove to her house, which she shares with her boyfriend Cody, after visiting her parents. Nova was so excited to see Cody that she stopped by the supermarket to get some ingredients to cook some of his favourite dishes. As she reached their house, she noticed a car parked by her house, which was weird because she shares her car with Cody, and she knows Cody hates bringing his friends over for some reason.
Not to jump to conclusions, Nova parked her car and walked straight to her door while holding a bag of groceries in her hand, and used her free hand to open the door slowly. With her hand still on the knob, Nova took a step inside and instantly froze. In front of her on the couch laid some woman on top of Cody, humping him as they made out on Nova's couch, which SHE spent her money on buying. The fact that they were oblivious to her presence infuriated her to the point that she gripped the round knob.
Looking at them with fury, she slammed the door shut and loudly, which startled Cody and the girl. Their head turned to Nova, and Cody was shocked to see her that he even pushed the woman on top of him off him to the floor, then he stood up from the couch, "Nova, listen, I know this doesn't look good at all b-" Before Cody could explain further, Nova walked up to him and punched him sqaure in the face, which made his nose start to bleed. Then she turned her head to the woman still on the floor, who flinched the moment her eyes met Nova's angry eyes.
Nova then turned back to her cheating boyfriend, who held his bleeding nose. "By the time I get back, I don't want to find your belongings in my house, nor you in my house anymore," Nova demanded coldly, then turned to leave, but Cody held her wrist, stopping her. "Nova, you can't do that. You know I don't have anywhere to go, can we at least please talk about this?" Without looking at him, Nova answered. "Of course you do."
Nova pulled her wristout his grip and turned to face Cody, then pointed to the woman who now stood up. "You have her place, if not, then your parents. You're no longer welcome here, and I have every right to kick you out. As I said before, Cody, I don't want to find your belongings in my house, nor you in my house, anymore." Nova turned to the door and slammed it shut. Nova started her car and drove to her friend's place, where she and other friends were supposed to meet. "Hey, Nova- Wait, are you ok?" Crystal asked, which got the attention of Zoe and Frankie. "I found Cody making out with some chick on my couch," Nova informed as she entered Crystal's house.
Nova sat on the couch and chugged down a glass of wine while her friends cursed at Cody. "Here you go, love," Frankie said as she gave Nova a plate with potato salad on top of it. "Thanks", Nova stated with a small smile and took out of the potato salad and complimented the food to whoever cooked it. The four of them sat on the couch watching Spiderman: No Way Home, and Nova was thankful to them for mentioning Cody.
A week had passed since her breakup with Cody, and her girlfriends made time to visit her today. While they were talking with the television on, add about travelling to South Korea popped up, which instantly got Zoe's attention. "We gotta go to South Korea, ladies," Zoe said. Frankie rolled her eyes. "It could be a scam, Zoe," Frankie reasoned. Nova and Crystal looked at the television screen. "I don't know Frankie, but it looks legit," Crystal spoke as they looked at a luxurious hotel showing on the screen.
"It is real, apparently," Nova said as she searched the hotel name on her phone. "I'm gonna call the number," Zoe informed, then picked up her phone and called the number showing on the television screen. Zoe put the phone on speaker as the number was dialling, "Congratulations! You and your group are the finale constestants to win a free trip to South Korea sponsored by Lim Hana Hotel. Do you have any questions?" The receptionist of Lim Hana Hotel questioned.
"Is everything paid for, like everything?" Zoe asked, "Yes, everything is paid for. from your flight to and from South Korea, to your hotel expenses, along with food expenses here at Lim Hana Hotel. All you have to do is let us know when you'd like to travel to South Korea, and we, Lim Hana Hotel will take care of everything," The receptionist explained professionally. "Please hold," Zoe said to the receptionist, then turned to her friends. "Let go tomorrow. We're all on a month's break. So can we go tomorrow, please?" Zoe pleaded. The girls looked at each other before sighing and agreeing, which made Zoe squeal, "Hi, yes, so. Will it be okay if we can travel tomorrow?"Zoe asked the receptionist.
"Of course it is. Lim Hana Hotel will have preparents ready, and we will be happy to have you." Zoe thanked the receptionist before hanging up and smiled widely at her friends. "Let's get ready to travel!!!"
