Calvin a vingt-quatre ans, un master avec mention et une certitude absolue : les secondes chances ne fonctionnent pas. Alors quand son ex l'appelle, il la rappelle quand même. Pas par amour. Pour comprendre. Pour disséquer. Pour transformer cette rechute en expérience scientifique et prouver une bonne fois pour toutes ce qu'il croit déjà savoir. Sauf que l'expérience a ses propres règles. Autour de lui, personne n'est vraiment ce qu'il semble être. Les sourires cachent des stratégies. Les amitiés cachent des trahisons. Et les sentiments qu'il refuse de nommer depuis trop longtemps commencent à lui coûter plus cher que tout le reste.
