Chapter 1

In the heart of the Black Forest, where the dense canopy blocked out the moonlight and the trees seemed to whisper ancient secrets, Elise wandered lost. Her lantern sputtered, casting eerie shadows that danced around her, and the night pressed in like a living thing. Her heart pounded with the weight of solitude, and her steps faltered as she tripped over gnarled roots and uneven ground. She was certain that she had been wandering for hours, but the darkness refused to yield to any sign of familiarity.

Suddenly, a strange glimmer caught her eye, drawing her toward a part of the forest that felt different, almost alive. Brushing aside low-hanging branches, Elise stumbled upon an overgrown path, barely visible under layers of moss and fallen leaves. As she followed it deeper into the woods, the air grew chill, and a consuming sense of unease filled her. She could almost feel eyes watching her from the shadows, and the silence hung heavy, broken only by the distant howl of a wolf.

At last, the path led to a small clearing, and in its center stood an ancient stone structure, half-covered by earth and foliage. A doorway, its edges worn smooth by time, beckoned her forward. With hesitance, Elise stepped over the threshold and into darkness so absolute, it seemed to swallow her whole. Then, as if in response to her presence, torches flared to life along the walls, casting a flickering, amber glow that revealed the chamber in its entirety.

Elise’s breath caught in her throat as she took in the sight before her. The chamber was not abandoned as she had first thought; it was a place of dark, time-honored power. Symbols and runes, unfamiliar yet undeniably potent, adorned the walls, and a sense of ancient malevolence hung heavy in the air. But most startling of all was the figure at the center of the chamber, draped in regal darkness, his eyes aglow with hunger and awakening. This was Friedrich Von Nacht, the legendary German Vampire Count - and Elise had unknowingly awoken him from centuries of slumber.
