"This is my first foray into military romances. Not my normal genre, however I'm so glad I broadened my comfort zone with this novel! It was more than worth it. I don't know Hannah (the writer's background) but it feels like she writes from personal military experience as the day to day military life, landscapes and trauma and rot of war is described in phenomenal detail, transporting you there to bear witness. I fell in love with the main characters Corporal Jo and Staff Sargent Levi, quickly becoming hooked to their story. There are more than enough curve balls and bumps in the road to keep you riveted. This book is well worth the read, if not for the love story and devotion from Levi, then for the journey to Afghanistan and birds eye view into military life. I will definitely be reading more of Hannah's books. Thank you! "
