Chapter 1: The Start Here :
I learned early how to survive in silence.
I was the strong one, the understanding one, the girl who held it together while quietly coming undone. People saw my smile before they ever saw my wounds—and I let them. Not because I was fake, but because I was tired. I was more actually exhausted. But, as the only daughter- Then- I knew to keep it together for my little brother and baby brother.
~ Which, I had a hard time doing because of the fussing that became hard to do. Still, going to school and watching my brothers fade- from our close bonds brought anger!
This book isn’t about perfection. It’s about becoming. About the nights I cried and the mornings I still showed up. About loving deeply, losing painfully, and choosing myself anyway.
