Jungkook likes women.
Jungkook likes attention.
Jungkook likes the simplicity of no-strings-attached hookups.
He fully believes that he has time. He’s a single twenty-six year old, makes good money running his tattoo business with his frie, has very good looks, and most importantly, he has freedom.
Why rush into anything like a relationship when life is good as it is?
Marriage and settling down sound nice, sure… But for later.
The right girl probably does exist, yes, but he hasn’t found her yet, and he’s not really trying to find her.
But just because he isn’t serious right now doesn’t mean he won’t want something serious in the future. Jungkook just feels that having casual fun is appropriate for this phase of his life at the moment.
His two best friends however, Jimin and Taehyung, feel that Jungkook could be a little more… intentional when it comes to his dating life. Neither of them mention marriage or lecture him about settling down. Instead, they try to steer him gently in the ‘commitment’ direction by teasing him about his dating life—or more accurately, his sex life.
They’ve both noticed how quickly Jungkook cycles through women, and how there’s always someone new and never anyone familiar. Taehyung has even pointed out to Jungkook once—teasingly, of course—that he never really lets any girls stay around long enough to actually get to know him. There’s never a sleep over or even a sleep in, and he always slips out if he’s at the girl’s place.
“How would you even know if a girl’s good for you,” Taehyung asked him one time, “if the only time you give her is between the sheets?”
Jungkook would just brush off such comments and tell his friends, “Relax. I’ll settle down when the time is right.”
In that same conversation, Jimin brought up The Girl. The hypothetical one. The inevitable one. The girl who is eventually going to knock Jungkook flat on his ass, scramble his priorities, and make him eat every smug word he’s ever said.
“I can already see it,” Jimin said to him with a teasing grin. “You’re going to fall hard.”
Taehyung nodded in agreement. “Yep. I bet she’ll show up when you least expect it and you won’t know what to do.”
“Oh piss off,” Jungkook laughed, totally unbothered and completely unconvinced. “You guys watch too many rom-coms.”
He said that so confidently to his friends because he’s so certain of one thing—that whoever this imaginary girl is, she isn’t in his life right now and isn’t coming any time soon.
And tonight, while in the club with Jimin and Taehyung, Jungkook fully has that mindset.
He’s coolly leaning against the bar with his eyes scanning the crowd, looking for his next lay for the night. Jimin and Taehyung try to ‘help’ him by pointing out girls around the club.
Jimin nudges Jungkook with an elbow. “Alright, Casanova, what about her?” He points to a girl in all black who was leaning against the wall, surrounded by her friends. She wore a black jean skirt with a chain hanging from the pocket, black fishnet stockings, thick black boots, and had piercings scattered across her face. She also had both arms completely tattooed, and the way she leaned against the wall oozed confidence.
“She’s the perfect match for you, Kook,” Jimin grins cheekily. “She’s dressed just like you with the black, the piercings on her face, and the tattoos.”
“Nah,” Jungkook says immediately. Sure, the woman was dressed in black and had piercings and tattoos like him, but she also had black lipstick and heavy black eyeliner, and—what the fuck?? Her canine teeth are so pointy?? Like a freakin’ vampire??
“She definitely ain’t my type,” Jungkook continues. “Way too gothic and she’s probably into some freaky shit. I don’t wanna end up in some BDSM dark room where she’ll probably stare into my soul and wanna drink my blood.”
Jimin bursts out laughing. “Well why not? You might find you like it.” He bounces his eyebrows up and down teasingly.
“No fuckin’ way. Next.”
“Alright, alright, fine,” Jimin sighs, waving his hand.
“Ooo how about her?” Taehyung pats Jungkook’s arm and nods toward a girl in a baby-pink outfit. She had her blonde hair bouncing to the music as she laughed with her friends. “She seems cute. And you know that saying about blondes having more fun.”
Jungkook squints as he looks at her. “Oh hell no. She looks freaking expensive. Look at that bag and those shoes. They’re all designers. And those dangly diamond earrings?” He scoffs. “She looks too high maintenance in and out of bed, and like she’d expect me to do everything. I don’t wanna be fucking a starfish or giving princess treatment. Hard pass.”
“Dude, why are you being nitpicky?” Taehyung says to him. “It’s just sex. You’re literally judging her by her accessories.”
Jungkook shrugs smugly, “I can afford to be picky.”
It’s true. He can. While the girls were attractive in their own way, it doesn’t mean they were compatible for him. Jungkook knows what he wants. Someone uncomplicated, effortless, and fun. Nothing more.
Just then, a feminine voice cuts through.
“You know…” the bartender starts talking to them, leaning over the counter top to get closer to them so they could hear her better—and so they could all get the perfect view of her pressed up tits.
All three pairs of eyes do in fact go straight to her cleavage first 'cause how could they not? They also see her nametag near her left breast that says ‘Lara’ before they look at her face. When they do look at her facial features, they see she is a pretty woman of colour with dark caramel skin, sharp eyes thanks to a bit of eyeliner, a big pretty smile, and a sparkly nose ring on the side.
She grins at them, “I couldn’t help overhearing your very detailed vetting process.”
Jungkook tilts his head, smirk tugging at his lips. He didn’t think to go for the bartender, but now that he’s looking at her, yeah, she’s not a bad contender for the night, so he decides to flirt along.
“Oh, yeah? And what exactly did you hear?”
She smirks back. “Everything. The goth girl, the blonde… all the reasons you passed on them. If what you’re looking for is uncomplicated fun, then I could be your girl for the night?”
Jungkook looks her over one more time. Attractive, yes. Confident, yes. Seems normal, yes.
“You’re serious?” he asks with intrigue.
“Totally. I knock off work soon so if you’re interested we could go back to my place and have some fun?”
Jungkook pokes the inside of his cheek with his tongue and raises an eyebrow sexily. “Okay. Sure.”
Her eyes light up and she smiles wider. “Great! I’m Lara, by the way.” She puts her hand out for him to shake it. “And you are?”
“Jungkook,” he smiles charmingly as he shakes her hand, feeling a little thrill course through him.
Finally, someone who seems to match his energy.
Lara fumbles with her keys outside her apartment, kicking her heels off the moment the door opens. She flicks the hallway light on while Jungkook steps inside after her, automatically bending to take his boots off.
That’s when they both hear something. The murmur of a TV coming from within.
Lara freezes for a second. “Oh…” she says, glancing down the hallway.
Jungkook straightens up. “What is it?”
“I thought my roommate was out tonight,” she shrugs. “Guess she’s home though.”
Jungkook arches a brow, “Oh? Should I be worried?”
Lara laughs, waving her hand, “Nah, she’s harmless. I was sure she had a date tonight, so thought we’d have the place to ourselves, but it’s fine. My room’s at the end of the hall anyway, so she won’t hear us too much.”
Jungkook smirks, “Good to know. I prefer my fun uninterrupted.”
Lara giggles, pleased he’s still keen for fun even if they wouldn’t be totally alone in the house.
She walks ahead down the hall and Jungkook follows. They round the corner into the open plan kitchen and lounge, and that’s when they see someone sitting on the couch, munching on popcorn while flicking through Netflix.
“Hey, Siri,” Lara says brightly.
The girl turns her head from the screen, eyes going to her roommate. “Hey,” she says casually. Her gaze then goes to the man behind Lara and lingers on him as she does a quick once-over. “And hello to our new guest,” she adds in a neutral tone.
In Siri’s head, she can admit that the guy is hot. Like, really hot. Dark short hair, broad shoulders covered in a leather jacket, tattoos peeking out on his hand, an eyebrow and two lip piercings, and dark doe eyes that look a little startled. He’s definitely one of the better looking guys Lara has brought home (or more like the best).
Despite his hotness, Siri assumes the guy is a playboy who is here for the same reason as every other guy Lara brings home. A one-night stand. Some easy fun. That assumption alone is enough to dull her interest, which is why Siri keeps her expression flat and her tone neutral; she’s seen this all before.
“Yeah, this is, um… Jung…kook, right?” Lara glances back at him to double check.
He nods, “Yep. Jungkook.”
Inside him, he’s a little offended that he’s with a girl who almost couldn’t remember his name—not that he can remember some of the girl’s names that he’s slept with either. But still…
“Oh good,” Lara giggles, glad she got that right. “Jungkook, this is Siri, my roommate.”
“Siri like the virtual assistant?” He asks with amusement. All he could see of her was her dark hair in a messy bun, a cute button nose and plump lips—she’s pretty, he thinks. And the rest of her was underneath a blanket, although he could see fluffy pink bunny slippers poking out from the end.
“Yeah. Real name’s Serena but I prefer Siri,” she answers plainly, looking back at the TV 'cause what’s the point in giving the guy any attention when he’ll only be here for a short while? None of the men Lara brings over ever stays.
“Ah. Gotcha,” Jungkook nods.
He sort of felt a little weird and maybe even a little offended that Siri seemed uninterested in him being there. He’s not used to that. He’s used to girls ogling him. Sure, he’s here with Lara, but still… He likes attention. Likes it when girls can’t keep their eyes off him, and he sorta likes it when girls fight over him.
But he’s not getting any of that from the roommate.
“Hey, didn’t you have a date tonight?” Lara asks her roommate with a slight tight smile as she walks further into their home. There was a hint of irritation in her tone because she didn’t expect Siri to be here, but it seems Siri and Jungkook didn’t catch that edginess. “I thought you’d maybe be at their place or something…”
“Yeah, I had the date,” Siri answers as she pops a piece of popcorn in her mouth. She chews and shrugs, “but the guy was a smart-ass so I ended the date early. Plus I don’t have sex on the first date, so I wouldn’t have gone to his place anyway.”
Jungkook thinks to himself that was fair enough of her to feel that way. Even though he doesn’t mind sex on the first date—or even if there’s no date at all (obviously)—he understands that people have boundaries and limits.
Lara, however, feels a slight sting at Siri’s words. She knows her roommate said it casually, but deep down, she also knows that Siri knows exactly what she’s like. That comment was the subtlest dig at her character. Lara is the type to have sex on the first date. She is the type to bring strangers home for a night of fun (clearly), and she knows Siri knows it.
Lara’s smile tightens just enough to mask that hint of irritation at her roommate’s words. “That’s nice,” she says in a tightly controlled way.
She then reaches out to Jungkook, sliding her hand into his. “Well,” Lara says with confidence and slight smugness, “Jungkook and I will head to my room.”
Siri doesn’t even glance their way as she keeps eating. “Okay,” she says, minding her own business. “Have fun. I’ll keep the volume up so I don’t hear anything.”
Jungkook raises an eyebrow at that, then a grin tugs at his mouth. He was amused more than anything. He didn’t really know what he expected from the roommate, but it definitely wasn’t this level of easy acceptance.
He follows Lara down the short hallway to her room anyway, and the moment she closes the door behind them, she’s on him.
Lara practically shoves Jungkook back against her bedroom door, diving in to kiss him hungrily while her hands reach round to his ass where she squeezes his cheeks hard. It’s so sudden and almost forceful, Jungkook’s eyes widen with surprise.
He kisses her back though, hands coming up to her waist. But, just as he leans in for more, Lara abruptly pulls away.
“Mmm,” she hums, lips curved into a smug little smile as she taps his pink lips with her finger. “Just wanted a little taste of you first, and you taste so good, baby.”
Jungkook blinks repeatedly, feeling a little dazed from the kiss, but then he’s grinning like the cocky bugger he is since he liked the compliment.
“So why are we stopping?” he asks her.
“I just need a quick shower before we get hot and heavy,” Lara steps back from him, keeping her grin.
Jungkook furrows his brows with slight confusion, “Uh… okay?”
“Gotta wash off the work sweat and get myself all ready for you,” she winks at him.
That makes Jungkook grin again. He likes that Lara wanted to put in a little effort for him.
“Alrighty, then,” he says.
Lara giggles and bites her bottom lip. “Wait here. I’ll be quick.” With that, she slips into her ensuite bathroom, taking only a towel with her.
Jungkook exhales, letting his shoulders loosen. He takes a slow look around Lara’s room, but there’s nothing really interesting or thrilling that catches his attention. His eyes then drift to the door, and he remembers Lara had just told him to wait here.
Except he’s a little bored now.
He figures a quick detour won’t hurt, so he slips out into the lounge, curious to see what the roommate is watching.
Siri looks up when she hears footsteps, and is surprised to see Jungkook strolling into the lounge.
Why is he here? she wonders with furrowed brows. He’s supposed to be in there.
She decides there’s only one explanation (well, it’s not really the only explanation, but she’s choosing to go with this thought because it’s funnier).
“Wow, you’re fast,” she deadpans. “Done fucking already?”
Jungkook scoffs a cocky chuckle. “For your information—” he drops himself into the single lazyboy chair near the couch, spreading his arms along the sides, sitting like a king on a throne. “Lara wanted to shower first. She wanted to get herself ready for me,” he says smugly.
Siri snorts, grabbing a piece of popcorn. “Don’t feel so special. You’re like the third or fourth guy she’s brought home this week.”
Jungkook stills and clenches his jaw, feeling weird about that. Like, he’s slightly impressed, but he’s also a little grossed out too. He doesn’t know why 'cause he’s not exactly a saint either, but hearing that the girl he’s about to fuck has slept with other guys in the same week as him makes his stomach twist.
Still, his pride kicks in and he acts like he doesn’t care by lying. “Okay, and? She’s not the only girl I’ve had this week either.”
Truthfully, Jungkook’s last fuck was two weeks ago. He’s a sexually active guy, sure, but he doesn’t need to sleep with a girl every week.
Siri rolls her eyes. She knew he’d be that kind of guy.
Wanting to knock Jungkook down a peg and deflate his ego a little, Siri decides to mess with him. She knows things about Lara that he doesn’t. She knows exactly what he’s about to get into, so she’s going to use her knowledge to her advantage.
“Well then I hope you’re ready for her,” Siri says, giving Jungkook a big cheesy smile. “You’re gonna have The. Time. Of. Your. Liiiife!”
The emphasis and Siri’s sudden enthusiasm makes Jungkook’s brows knit together. “What do you mean? Why are you saying it like that?”
Her smile turns mischievous, “Coz she fucks like a pornstar.”
Jungkook bursts out laughing, caught off guard by Siri’s bluntness. He then raises an eyebrow like this was the most obvious thing in the world. “Isn’t that a good thing?”
Siri shrugs, “Depends.”
“On what exactly??”
She shrugs again, still with that mischievous grin on her face. “It can be a good thing… Sometimes. If you’re into that.”
“What the hell is that even supposed to mean??” Jungkook was really confused as to why Siri was playing coy.
She takes a couple pieces of popcorn and pops them into her mouth, still grinning like a Cheshire cat at him. “You’ll find out soon enough.”
The curiosity gnaws at Jungkook instantly. He doesn’t like that Siri clearly knows more about what he’s walking into than he does—and it’s obvious she’s enjoying this little game.
“I don’t get why you told me that,” he lightly frowns at her. “What guy wouldn’t like a chick to fuck him like a pornstar? If anything, thanks for the heads up. Gonna make sure I treat Lara real good that you’ll have to turn the TV up so loud to drown out her shouting my name.”
Siri snickers, “Oh she’ll be shouting something out alright.”
Jungkook’s frown deepens with confusion.
Siri then suddenly takes hold of the popcorn bowl, then casually holds it out toward Jungkook, her smile now as sweet as sugar. “Want some?”
Feeling annoyed with her teasing, he shakes his head. “No thanks. I’m good.”
Siri shrugs, “Okay. Suit yourself.”
“Oh, Jungkooook~” Lara sings down the hallway before appearing in the lounge wrapped only in a towel.
Siri just looks at her, rolls her eyes, then goes back to staring at the TV as she crunches on popcorn. She’s used to Lara’s antics and has seen this side of her many times before. Jungkook, however, likes what he sees.
Lara steps towards him with her hips swaying and voice turning seductive. “I didn’t see you in my room,” she says, eyes locking onto his. “You disappeared.”
There was actually some irritation and a little jealous burn in Lara’s chest. She didn’t like this. Didn’t like that Jungkook left her room. Didn’t like that he’s sitting here with Siri when he was meant to be waiting for her.
Nevermind though. She plays it cool, plays it sweet.
“Sorry,” Jungkook says as he gets off the lazy boy. “Got bored in your room so I came out here. I’m all good to go, though,” he smirks, raising an eyebrow sexily.
Lara’s eyes light up, relief and triumph coursing through her veins. She reaches for his hand and pulls him toward the hallway eagerly (and a little possessively too).
Jungkook lets himself be pulled, but just before he disappears down the hall, he glances back to Siri as her warning comes into his mind.
She’s already looking at him, smirking.
Then she mouths the words ‘good luck’ to him.
Jungkook rolls his eyes this time, feeling so sure that everything will be okay—or that they’d be even better than okay ’cause being told you ‘fuck like a pornstar’ is a compliment. Obviously.
Whatever, he thinks as he follows Lara into her room.
Things are not okay.
Oh hell-to-the-fuck-no they are NOT okay.
This is bad. So, so bad.
This is the worst time of Jungkook’s life.
Siri was wrong saying he would have the time of his life. But she was definitely right about the other thing she said…
Yes, Lara fucks like a pornstar.
But a bad one. A very, very bad one.
Jungkook only just realised tonight that fucking like a pornstar can be an insult. He didn’t think about the other side of porn where the actors are trying so hard that they exaggerate everything.
Lara fucks like that. Over-the-top moaning. Over-the-top facial expressions where she’s crossing her eyes and biting her lip. Over-the-top dirty talk like: “Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Oh my gawwwd! You’re SOOO big! Take this pussy! You love it, don’t you? Fuck yeah, you love it. I know you do! Oh, yesss!”
No. Jungkook did not love it. He hated it.
Especially since she did all that while swinging and whipping her hair around as if she was in a hair commercial. Her hair even got in his mouth a few times!
And then she called him ‘daddy.’
Jungkook despises that. He loathes it.
He really wanted to push Lara off him, but instead, his dick shrivelled up and went semi soft—although Lara obviously couldn’t tell 'cause she was too busy riding him like a bad, over-eager pornstar.
During the deed, all Jungkook could think about was how Siri warned him. With that stupid pretty mischievous smile of hers. With those stupid pretty blue eyes hiding this from him.
She knew how bad Lara would be because obviously she’s heard and maybe even caught Lara fucking men in their apartment, and oohh, does Jungkook feel so fucking foolish. He should’ve taken her warning. Should’ve followed his gut and not his stupid dick.
He needed this to stop. He needed it to end. Right NEOW.
So he faked it.
He pretended to cum into the condom—like a pornstar too, putting on an over-the-top orgasmic roar ('cause why not match Lara’s energy?)—and then he helped finish her off with his fingers because he never leaves a woman unsatisfied.
Champagne confetti! Woo-hoo! Finally, she’s done!
Afterwards, Lara, all smiley and happy with the just-fucked afterglow, said she needed another shower because she felt like suuuch a dirty girl.
“Wanna join me, daddy?” She asked Jungkook.
He tried to keep his vomit down. He plastered on a smile. Said, “Nah, I’m good. I’ll just lay here.”
As soon as Lara was in the bathroom, Jungkook fucking gapped it! Time to escape! Didn’t care that he was practically naked as he grabbed his clothes.
And who did he run into on his way out?
He sees Siri standing there. Looking like she was waiting for him to come out.
She was leaning against the kitchen bench, right opposite the hallway. Her pink bunny slippers twinkled along with her toes, and she was holding a bag of cookies this time.
She had a smug smirk on her lips as she slowly lifted a cookie to her mouth, checking him out as she does so because that body of his was gorgeous.
Jungkook nakedly stumbles closer to Siri with his clothes covering his goodies, and that’s when he notices the TV was on mute.
Oh, of course it’s on mute because obviously this woman is a perverted freak and wanted to hear how bad it was going for me!
“You’re sooo fucking evil,” Jungkook hisses as he hurriedly pulls on his underwear and pants. “You knew! You fuckin’ knew she was nuts and you still let me go in there with her?!”
Siri bites her bottom lip, trying—and failing—to keep a straight face. “Hey, I wasn’t sure if you were into that kinda thing,” she says innocently. “But I did warn you. Sort of.”
“Oo0oh~” Jungkook pitches his voice higher in mockery as he yanks his shirt over his head. “You’re gonna have the time of your life, Jungkook~ She fucks like a pornstar—” he drops his voice, scowling at Siri, “—yeah! Like the worst fucking pornstar ever! That was the worst sex I’ve ever had! Definitely not into that kinda thing!”
Siri couldn’t hold in her laugh this time. She cracks up with her shoulders shaking.
Jungkook just glares at her as he slips on his leather jacket next. “She fuckin’ called me daddy.”
“Oh, I know,” Siri keeps laughing. “I heard.”
“I fucking hate that name.”
“Do you?” Siri teases. “It sounded like you were enjoying it. Pretty sure I heard you cumming.”
“That’s coz I faked it! Had to get her to stop somehow, so I faked it!”
"Oh my god!" Siri nearly drops the cookies as she doubles over, laughter knocking her to her knees. "I’ve never heard of a guy faking it before! ~hahaha~ This is fucking gold!”
“It’s not funny!” Jungkook growls at her.
“I’m sorry,” she says between giggles, eventually standing back up. She clears her throat, trying to compose herself. “I’m sorry. Seriously. You want a cookie?” She holds one out to him.
“No,” Jungkook snaps. “I don’t want a fucking cookie.”
“See,” Siri says, unfazed by his grumpiness, popping the cookie into her mouth. “This is exactly why I don’t do one-night stands.”
Jungkook scoffs, “Yeah, yeah. Fuck off.”
“You just never know what you’re gonna get yourself into,” Siri carries on oh so innocently. “At least go on a date first. Get to know the person a little. Catch their vibe before you… commit to whatever that was.” She gestures vaguely toward Lara’s room.
“Oh, I’ll definitely be doing that from now on,” Jungkook grumbles, but there’s no real heat in his words anymore, just exhaustion and the bitter realisation that he’s learned his lesson the hard way.
He knows Jimin and Taehyung will laugh at this when they find out, and tell him something similar to what Siri said. He’s starting to think he really should listen to them.
Jungkook leans back against the counter, runs a hand through his hair, and sighs heavily as the adrenaline drains out of him, leaving a feeling of fatigue and regret within him. Right now, he just feels like such a disaster.
Siri watches him, feeling something soft for him in that moment. It was weird seeing him like this—cocky one second, then completely ruined the next. She felt a little bad for him.
“Hey, you okay?”
Jungkook lets out another sigh then huffs a laugh. “Yeah. I mean… I will be. Eventually.”
Siri smiles at him—a warm one this time, not a smug mocking one. “Hey, at least you survived.”
“Nah, I reckon part of me died in there.”
He says it dryly, but he’s smiling too, and that makes Siri’s smile widen.
She lifts the cookie bag again and gives it a little shake. “You sure you don’t want a cookie? I promise they’re yummy and they won’t call you daddy.”
That earns a real laugh from Jungkook. The first real laugh he’s had all day.
Even though he already said no, something about the way Siri is looking at him now makes him feel like he would say yes to anything.
“Okay… Just one.”
Siri grins as if she’s just won something and tips the packet so he can grab one himself. Jungkook takes a cookie, gives it a bite, and immediately relaxes against the bench, tilting his head back slightly as he closes his eyes and hums at the taste.
Siri watches him chew, pleased to see him enjoying it. But she also gets this little thought that maybe—maybe—she could actually like this guy.
But that’s ridiculous because he just slept with her roommate. And knowing Lara, she has very specific taste in men (bad boys and easy boys), and Jungkook fits that perfectly. Guys like him are fun and charming, but they’re also total heartbreakers; someone who is absolutely not worth catching feelings for.
So, Siri looks at her packet of cookies, shoves her thoughts and momentary feelings to the side, and grabs another cookie.
“Cookies fix everything,” she murmurs, more so to herself than to Jungkook.
But he hears her and hums thoughtfully in agreement. “Mm. That might actually be true.”
There’s a nice, small, quiet moment between them. A comfortable silence Jungkook didn’t realise he could get with a girl.
He opens his eyes to see Siri leaning more comfortably against the bench, digging her hand into the cookie packet again.
Man, she really loves her snacks, he thinks, and he finds himself smiling while staring at her fondly.
That’s when he really looks at Siri.
He didn’t notice it before because he was too busy panicking and growling at her, but damn, she has a nice body and nice curves. She was shaped like an hourglass and her breasts looked nice (and big) and snug inside her tight little tank top.
And her eyes… Jungkook only just noticed now that they were a bright oceanic blue. Eyes you could swim in. Eyes he could imagine sparkling under the sunlight. Very pretty. Like her.
Jungkook completely forgets that Lara would almost be done in the shower, and he forgets why he was even rushing out in the first place.
He’s too busy looking at Siri and thinking about how her laughter earlier was actually really lovely, just like the smile she gave when she offered him a cookie was lovely too.
Even the small smile she’s giving him now, whilst offering him more cookies, was really sweet.
Jungkook suddenly feels fluttering in his stomach and his heart skips a beat.
Before he could really think about it—or reach for another cookie...
“Jungkooook!~” Lara calls for him loudly in a singysongy voice from down the hall. “You ready for round two?”
Siri’s eyes widen, and Jungkook’s heart drops.
“Oh shit,” he mutters.
“Uh oh! You better skedaddle!” Siri whispers urgently, quickly placing the bag of cookies on the bench before she grabs Jungkook’s bicep and starts leading him towards the front door.
“What—no—wait—!” he stammers.
“What? Did you wanna go back in there and do her again?”
“Fuck no!”
“Then run!” Siri hisses, grabbing the obvious big black shoes that belonged to him, shoving them into his arms before she opens the door. “Go! I’ll cover for you. I’ll make some shit up.”
Jungkook stares at her with awe. “You would do that for me?”
Siri starts blushing unexpectedly, unprepared for how he was looking at her.
“W-Well, yeah, I guess,” she stutters as butterflies float in her belly. “I kinda feel like I owe you for some reason?”
She chuckles with slight confusion because she really didn’t know why she was helping him like this, or why she was blushing at all.
Jungkook’s heart melts, though. He feels all soft, like he wants to give Siri a hug. He didn’t know what to say to her—not that he could say much anyway because she was half way to closing the door.
“Uh… thanks, I guess?”
“No worries,” she says quickly, urging him out. “Now hurry and go before she comes out half-naked again and emotionally damages you further.”
Jungkook chuckles as he’s finally out the door. But just before it closes, he looks back at Siri.
She’s smiling at him with rosy cheeks, and for some reason, he really liked that, and he ends up smiling back at her appreciatively.
Then the door shuts.
Jungkook just stands there, in the hallway, staring at the closed door for longer than necessary.
And he’s still smiling. Like an idiot.
After he puts his boots on and heads towards the elevator, he gets a strange feeling. Sort of a range of emotions… He feels relieved for getting away from Lara. He feels regret for getting with Lara. But he also feels—well, he’s not quite sure—but like, happy? that Siri helped him escape.
But part of him also feels a bit of a dull ache in his chest, as if something was missing or like there’s unfinished business.
As he gets further away from the apartment, Jungkook realises what it is.
He likes Siri and he wants to see her again.
Dammit. I don’t have her phone number. How the fuck am I going to see her again?
