The Teacher of Parenthood

One day, a pregnant astral with long pale blonde hairs and yellow eyes came knocked the door of a house that surrounded by blue roses. Her triangle beast ears flattened while calling out a name. Then, she was greeted by a woman who had similar appearances with her, except for her shorter hairs and blue eyes. After chatting for a while, the owner let her into the house. They went sitting on the sofa inside the living room. With a snap of her fingers, teacups and a jar of milk appeared in front of them. Cautiously, the short haired one prepared and offered it for the guest.

The pregnant astral took one of them, then drunk it directly. Her breath relaxed as soon as the warm sensation in her throat. It was a sudden visitation to one of her siblings. Even, she herself was surprised by her own boldness. Before her thoughts started to dwell in, her sister slowly opened the conversation with a cup of milk in her hand.

“Older sister, it’s rare to see you with that face. Is everything alright at home?”

“It’s alright. Sanriel is too good at being my husband that I almost doubt myself whether I deserved him or not,” She chuckled while fidgeting her fingers, “I just want to ask something that was on my mind recently.”

One of her sister’s eyebrows raised as she bluntly responded, “Shoot away.”

The astral took a breath. then let it go slowly as her yellow eyes faced the blue ones. “This is out of the blue and it’s kind of awkward for me, but…” she flashed puppy eyes while mumbling, “I was wondering if you can give me some advice in parenting?”

A pair of blue eyes widened.

The owner of those eyes asked her back, “Why are you the one who asking me that question, older sister?”

“Well,” The pregnant astral tilted her head until some of the long blonde hairs reached to the sofa, “It’s because I thought… You have more experience in this?”

A chuckle came out from the pale lips, making the long blonde haired lady’s face turned into confusion. Leisurely but surely, the laughter became quiet. The owner of blue eye calmed herself down before she opened her mouth again.

“I apologize for the laugh, older sister. I was honoured to hear that from you and I didn’t intend to offend you. It’s just… “She wiped the tears from her blushed cheeks, “I don’t know why you are thinking that.”

“I meant…” Her yellow eyes gazes softly at the lady in front of them, “you already have taking care five more children than I had.”

“That’s what you think of professionalism?”

“Is that wrong?” she tilted her head once more.

“You’re not wrong,” the owner of the house sipped her milk before she continued, “you only get it slightly off because I still don’t have confident to tell a single advice about parenthood, especially for you.”

The yellow eyes blinked unconsciously. She didn’t know that her ‘always proud of herself’ sibling has a side like this. Sure, the owner of mid length blonde hairs had one or two moments of weakness in the past. Yet, this is the first time where she openly admitted and didn’t even deny it at all. The pregnant lady giggled as she starting to think it’s fine to depend on the younger woman in front of her.

“Then, if it’s okay with you, can you tell me how do you raise the children?”

The Astral in the blue dress stunned for a second, then she grinned.

“Wait for a moment, let me ask the expert first.”

As the owner of the blue eyes said that, she snapped her fingers. Then, something connected through one of her earrings. It was an alternate form of a telephone that was made by one of her spouses. As his sister-in-law, the pregnant lady was proud of how talented he is. When she was thinking of how much she’s care about her family, someone answered it excitedly.

“Hello? Mama?”

It was the third youngster of the younger astral who answered the call from them.

With a smile placed on her face, the mother of the adolescent asked him. “Hello, my dear. Could you ask your siblings and cousins about what we always do every day?”

“Mmmh…”

The blue eyes fluttered as she touching her earring, “what’s wrong, my dear?”

“Mama, I want to answer it myself. Can I do that?”

Both of the Astrals chuckled. They could imagine that the other side was pouting right now. The mother of five then responded with a chime of the bells.

“Of course, you can.”

Without further ado, the pink haired daemon spirit bombarded them with many answers.

“Yay! Listen! Listen, Mama! You always pack our lunch with our favourite foods! And then! You always bring us to the park and even play with us-”

The list went on and on. The Astrals only listened patiently until he was finished with his compliment to the blue-eyed woman. As she ensured that her child really didn’t have anything to talk anymore, the astral with the blue earrings asked him softly.

“Asmodeus, are you happy now?”

“Yep!” He answered it, more quickly than what she imagined. “Thank you for everything, Mama! I love you!”

She smiled back, “I love you too, my dear.”

The yellow eyes blinked when the owner of the blue ones closing the calls between her nibling and them. She was so surprised that her cup almost missed its place. If her sibling didn’t catch it, the beautiful cup wouldn’t be survived.

“Ah. Thank you and I’m sorry.”

“It’s fine. So, what do you think?” Her blue eyes were glittering with hope, “Did you already find the answer?”

The pregnant lady smiled nostalgically, “you’re already grown so much in the past years that I almost didn’t recognize you.”

“Thank you, older sister. But, that’s not what I had in mind when I asked you…” the blue-eyed astral’s pale cheeks reddened into flamboyant pink, “And… this is only the minimum of what I need to do for the children.”

“That’s still amazing,” the pregnant lady clapped her hands, “I even wonder how to become a mother like you.”

“Oh, you. There are more better mothers outside this house, I didn’t deserve that compliment alone.” The owner of the house grinned delightfully, “then, how about you try asking me the same question as what I asked to my child earlier?”

“Ah… Are you happy now, Philautia?”

Her sister chuckled while answering it gratefully, “of course. It’s thanks to you that I could live with my family like this, Agape.”
