prologue
the silence is too loud.the world keeps spinning, people keep breathing, and yet, somewhere between the ticking of the clock and the pounding in my chest, i hear him.
sometimes it’s in the mirror. sometimes in my dreams.sometimes, it’s in the reflection of someone else’s eyes.
they say grief makes you see things that aren’t there.but what if it’s not my mind playing tricks?what if it’s him, calling me closer, one breath at a time?
and if i follow the echo long enough...i’m afraid i might not come back.
when i thought i could never love again, i met you.
