Do you ever wonder what the future looks like?
Is it bright, or just really dark?
Well, our tale takes place in the year 2040.
We live in a world where entertainment is banned all over the country. It’s literally banned everywhere.
The government doesn’t even like the talk of entertainment. People, of course, still talk about the days of entertainment, telling their children about days of fun before all this dystopia.
Hello, my name’s Amber, and I’m a jester in an illegal circus run by me and my friends. We move from country to country, constantly escaping the police.
This is a tale of a group of queer teens and their determination to get the ban lifted so people can live a life of fun again without getting in trouble.
This is our protest against the government, and the story starts now…
Amber, what if we get caught? We nearly got caught by the police the last time we performed there, a blonde-haired boy said nervously.
Let them come. This is a protest. I won’t stop until it’s lifted and our people can have fun again like the old days. Plus, it’ll be fun. You worry too much, Jack, Amber said with determination.
Yeah, loosen up a little, Jack! It’ll be so much fun—it always is! a black-haired girl said.
That’s easy for you both to say! Jack pouted, then sighed. But it is always fun, so I guess I’ll trust you both, he said, smiling sheepishly.
Suddenly, two new figures entered the room.
Is Jack having a nervous breakdown again? a girl with purple hair and heterochromia eyes said.
Seems like it, a boy with black-and-blue hair said with a smug smile on his face.
Why must you be so mean to me, Soren? You’re supposed to be my boyfriend, and Alice, you’re my best friend, Jack said, pouting once again.
Don’t take it so seriously, Jack. You know we all love you, Soren said, still smiling, before placing a kiss on Jack’s forehead.
Jack instantly calmed down after that and smiled back at Soren.
We have time to be lovey-dovey with our partners later. Right now, we have to focus on traveling to our next destination for the circus. Said Layla, the black haired girl from before who is already packing
All right, here we come! Prepare for the entertainment of your life, world! Alice said, completely hyped.
And with that, the team started traveling to their next destination for their traveling circus.
They were excited for the thrill of performing again.
So excited that they had no idea what would happen next might be more dangerous than usual.
