Welcome to the sequel to The Secret of the Shadow Wolves. In Volume II — In the Echo of the Past — two mighty primordial forces collide with the Guardians of Antares. These magical beings have existed since the dawn of time. Yet it soon becomes clear that the Shadow Wolves themselves are no recent creation. As the truth slowly unfolds, it is revealed that these two powers already crossed paths millions of years ago — an encounter that cost the two agents of chaos their brother. If you believe they seek nothing more than destruction, you are mistaken. In their own twisted way, these beings are playful, eager to savor every last moment of their self-proclaimed arch-enemies’ downfall. Their patience — and their delight in watching everything descend into chaos — becomes evident when their little game with Kaitos begins. But with the arrival of the two primordial forces, Melbourne and Liam also come to realize that they share a bond far deeper than they ever imagined.

The Shadow Wolves’ Secret

- Part II -

-Echoes of a forgotten Past-

Since the dawn of time, when the galaxies were still forming, two powers had already existed, hidden in their own cosmos—beings with whom no one would have wanted to make acquaintance. On Earth, they would likely have been called gods.

Their world was hidden by a magical barrier, so that no one could ever find it. They preferred to spend their time sowing death, corruption, and chaos. Nothing made them happier than demonstrating their power, humiliating other peoples, and ultimately stealing their abilities to grow even stronger.

It had been a long time since they last annihilated a magical people—who had actually been their equals, calling themselves the Shadow Shifter Clan. But a treacherous trick secured their victory, leaving no one in the universe capable of threatening them.

Most importantly, they valued only themselves and feared nothing, thanks to their nearly limitless energy. Their boredom drove them to plunge other worlds into chaos, fuel intrigues, and spark wars, all while watching the peoples destroy each other.

During all that time of observing the twisted course of existence, a small group in a far-off galaxy suddenly caught their attention. The planet was called Antares, and the magic emanating from that world was well-known to the great powers. From that moment on, the wrath of the primal forces was assured.
