Chapter One - Unforgivable Rules

“In the past, the world was almost overrun by mankind as people were having too many babies and the world wasn’t big enough to fit us anymore. Then someone went into power and started killing everyone’s last born’s and making sure that the numbers drop. After they finished, they put a new law upon us, all must stop having kids after their second born. However, there is the word that they are planning on changing that rule to only one child per couple. Some say that there is a place where these type rules don’t have any effect, a place where everyone is the same and no one is in power. But if you are caught talking about this, you are killed. You are killed for the following, having too many kids and your child disappears, for talking wrong about the one in power and for being different. Fear is what makes our world today. Love is not known anymore as we only marry for our family and only people over the age of 35 gets a say. It has been like this for over a hundred years now and it must change. Only mind reading guns are used as the weapons of the past are now out of date and unknown to all. I am Saya Lockdown and I am 16, eligible for marriage just last week as it was my birthday and my parents had just found my future husband to be”
