part one:

~beep beep, beep beep,~

ugh, what time even is it,

i open my eyes and i see the alarm staring back at me.

"SHIT"

i usually don't wake up this late, but last night was the super bowl. me and my friends hanged at saras place, they were so hyped up to watch the game, but their team lost, unlike mine.

i drag myself out of the bed, and yawn, maybe today wouldn't go to fast? maybe i was going to have fun! as i got dressed and ready to go for the day, i was excited. today was when me and stella were going to go shopping, since our summer was coming fast we needed the cutest clothes. of course i had no sense of fashion that's why i need to bring a friend with me.

~BEEP BEEP~

that was her, she was already here to pick me up, and next thing i heard were her heels, click clacking down the hallway to my apartment,

great, no breakfeast today...

when i reached for the door, it came busting open.

did i leave the door open last night? was i really that tired?

"heyyy!!! i havent seen you in forever!" Nicole said excitedly,

"yah totally, like last night was a decade ago. can you wait a sec i need to get breakfast then we can go.-"

"no hunny, we are going now, i waited to long for this day and now it is finally here!!! and look Luna, i even have my favorite outfit on for the day," the pointed to her top and jeans, and of course it was the most revealing clothes of the centrury.

as we get into the car, her music blares, as i try to turn it down Nicole slaps my hand away.

"keep the music. on."

"i was just trying to turn it down, my gosh."

Nicole shakes her head, and steps on the gas launching me backwards,

As we walk into the mall, nicole squeals,

"im so fucking excited! i want to get a new ea~"

her voice was drowned out by all the sights, and sounds, i havent been out side for some time, and the mall was somewhere that i shouldnt be, before i isolated myself froom the world, i had an addiction to shopping, and that got out of hand.

lucky for me, i was able to find a way to only window shop, instead of buying things, this was the reason why i have been stuck in my house, up until the super bowl.

i suddenly feel my hand jolted, and my eyes dart to my hand. nicole has pulled me in the direction of the victoria secret. of course.

"looks like this is our first stop, and luna you've got a good amount of money since you stopped shopping, you should by a couple things today." she piped out. i could tell that she wasn't asking- but telling.

I laugh,

"doesn't mean i should spend it all."

"oh come on, you know i didnt mean it like that."

"im just playing."

as we enter the room, she jumps,

"okay lets go to the lingerie first, she drags me by my arm and pushes her way past two men in the isles, they both look at her then me, as if i was crazy.

"here we go, what color do you think looks best on you?"

"i dont know, maybe like a emerald?"

"oh my god, how come i didnt think of that? nevermind dont answer that question. her try this one,- and this one," she handed me 2 very strappy lingerie 2 peices.

as i look in the mirror my jaw drops, no way the first one that i try on looks that good on me. I turn to the side and see my ass poking out through the straps underneath of it making them look plump.

"damn~"

My body freezes, i look over where the curtain is and i see nic staring at me.

"is that a good thing that your best friend is simping over you?"

my cheeks go red.

simping?

"get out, let me try the next one on in peace. shoo" i throw my hands in her direction and she scurries away.

i try on the next one but to no extend is it sexy like the other one.

"did you find everything you wanted to day easy girls?" the cashier said in a monotone voice.

"yes, i just want this."

"perfect that will be $43.75, and would you like a bag for it?"

"sure, here you go," i give her the money and she puts the dress in the bag. as she hands me it, i feel that familiar feeling that is to distant to touch, as if something was sparked in me, like the addiction just might come back.

As we leave the mall, we talk about our life.

"so how have you been, we didnt really talk last night. you've been so distant, and i feel like i been missing you for a while. " she said sincerely.

"i dont know, i have been just so tired, and i havent done anything, matter of fact i havent even ate today,"

"oh- sorry about rushing you this morning. -"

"its fine, "

silence took over and as we approched the road where we parked, i gave her a hug,

"i am going to walk from here, i need to clear my head, okay, i will text you when i get home, dont worry."

"okay be safe hun,"

"i will."

as i walk i imagine myself wearing the lingerie i just bought, i looked so good in it, i could become a goddess. maybe that was a little too far, but i did look really good in it.

as i rounded the corner 4 blocks from my house, i heard a thud. my body tenses, and i look to the right, only to find a stray cat,

"hey little guy, where you going tonight?" i say as i walk over to him, he runs away and i follow until i hear another thud. exactly like the other one. it didn't stop there, but it continued, i peered over to where the next alley way intersects, and thats when i see a man, not just 1, 4 of them, and then another laying on the ground.

the one laying on the ground was badly bruises, cuts over his face, and pleading for mercy from the men above him.

"shit." i needed to get out of here. as i try to something shiny catches my eye, there was something handing from all the men's neck. like a metal, but i couldn't quite see it.

as i turn around to leave i dont notice the cat sitting right behind me, and as i step back i step on its tail.

it hissed, something that was not needed in the moment that i was in,

"what was that?" one mans voice spoke from behind the corner.

shit...

i started running as fast as i could down my street, and to the next block, i looked behind me, and saw the cat running in the other direction. then stop and stare at me,

something's weird about that cat, i kept thinking to myself. but i couldn't quite place it.

i speed walk toward my house and look around,

something feels off.

i look over to my right and something catches my eye. i squint and i realize its just a fire hydrate.

stupid mind...

as i unlock the door, i step into my house, and close the door.
