Chapitre 1
I run. I keep running without stopping. My legs burn, my lungs scream, but I don’t slow down. Not now. Not while everything is still intact.
I turn around.
She’s there.
Just as beautiful as in my memories.
My mother.
She’s running after me, trying to catch up. Her face blurs, as if the world refuses to let her exist for too long. Soon, all I can see is her smile. That smile I know by heart. Then it fades.
She slows down. She stops.
I watch her turn away, ready to leave, ready to abandon me once again. Something shatters inside me.
I stop abruptly and run back toward her. She can’t leave. Not yet. Not now. I need her.
I scream her name until my throat tears apart, hoping she’ll turn around, that she’ll come back to me, hold me in her arms, and promise that everything will be okay, that she’ll never leave me alone.
But everything distorts.
Her body twists, her face becomes unrecognizable. The world around me cracks. I scream again.
Then—nothing.
Darkness.
A thick, endless darkness. The only thing I can see… is the dark.
To be continued…
