Chapter 1
7th of February 1997 (5 years old)
Annie
I had always had trouble fitting in. All kids at my school would think im weird and gross, but that's who I am.
I always had a weird fascination with space, and it felt so cool to be the only one who dreamed of going there.
Until one day....
My pops was suffering from lung cancer and died. It was truly devastating, he was like a best friend to me but I had to be strong, I couldn't be a crybaby girl. I have to be strong for him, for myself, and for my mama.
But for now I need to work on building the courage to keep working towards my dreams and become the space adventure girl I was meant to be.
A few weeks later as I was taking a stroll through the park I saw... oh gosh.... Micheal. He's the worst ever, he is definitely gonna pick on me if he see's me in my turtle patterned dress.
I try to quickly walk away but ofcourse he had eyes on the back of his head and spotted me immediately. Great, judt great. He was walking up to me looking all smug like ew go away.
He stood infront of me, a bag of candy in his hand and his shoelaces untied. "Well, well, well isn't it the little crybaby Annie, I thought you ran away already but I guess not." He was staring me down as if I was a piece of trash until he decided to shove me to the dry muddy ground. "OW THAT HURTS." I shouted at him but then he kicked me leg and laughed at me.
The pain was unbearable and I thought If I stayed still then maybe he would atleast have mercy on me but then he grab my arm and twisted it painfully behind my back. I was on the verge of tears until someone shouted from behind us. "Let her go you big meanie!"
