Very Erotic Yet Be Warned
"I rarely give less then 4 stars, yet this book needs some major warnings. Positives: **Plot line is fast moving with good dialogue. **Well developed characters with clear POV that doesn’t need rereading. **Hating, yet loving, the angst created. **Visualizing the steamy scenes is very side-table worthy. **Eventually, there were trigger warnings concerning slapping. Negatives: **While tagged as BDSM, the plot line does not show the characters talking about limits and there is very little after-care. This leads to feeling the main female character is being abused. There are a few times that the main male characters physically mistreat the man female character **There is no CNC tag, along with no discussion about it by the characters, and when the main female character shakes her head no or says no, it is ignored. This lead a reader to feel it is non-consensual. The main female character saying she likes it rough, with other characters, is not carte blanche for the two main male characters to ignore her. **While Degradation can be a part of BDSM, and as there was no limits discussed, it can lead a reader to feel the main female character is being emotionally abused. Gaslighting, angry detachment, and using family against her is just a tidbit of that abuse. If this was my first BDSM book to read, I would think that these behaviors are the norm and would shy away from amy more curiosity about the lifestyle. These behaviors are not respectful of tha culture or those kinks. I highly recommend: Adding some dialogue about limits and update your tags. Read the blogs on Kinkly about appropriate degradation and how it’s approached. Adding trigger warnings before each chapter as a reminder of the tags that are in place I think you are a fantastic writer, yet the subject matter needs to be flushed out more with respect to the BDSM culture. "
