Summary
On planet Velkhu, eleven realms exist in delicate balance, each sustained by mystical jewels that flow through ley-lines beneath their lands. The aftermath of the Great Jewel War has left scars that refuse to heal. Salveen, the half-blood Lunar King, carries the weight of his father's sins—the Jewel King, who nearly destroyed the Outer Realms in his mad quest to claim the realms' power for himself. Now ruler of the Lunar Realm, Salveen dedicates his life to undoing the devastation his father wrought. With his kingdom's jade flowing through his meridians and mixed heritage granting him access to powers from a bloodline he knows nothing of, he walks a razor's edge between redemption and the very darkness he once fought against. When the ley-lines begin to fracture, and the development of jewel-corruption, Salveen discovers his father's war might have been the catalyst for something far worse. Ancient bloodlines thought extinct are awakening, forbidden jewel combinations are being cultivated in secret, and whispers speak of the return of a power that spans the entire planet. As the delicate balance between realms fractures once more, Salveen must decide if his path to redemption lies in restoration, or something far greater.
