Summary

She goes to sleep and wakes up in a strange bed. It is not hers. And it is inside a large golden cage. “You are awake.” She jerks her head to the side and sees a group of beautiful men… with pointed ears. She thinks it a dream. The men enter the cage and surround her. She is not concerned until they grab her and tell her she is not leaving this cage until the next king is decided from amongst the seven high fae lords. Instead of the endless war, she will be the deciding fate of the new king. But how will she do that? They grab her from the bed and drag her toward them. And that’s when she realizes this is not a dream.

I came home from class sopping wet with rain. I slammed the ugly metal door shut behind me. My backpack was soaked through and I winced as I laid out my literary textbooks to dry. I was an English Major at the University of Alabama and luckily this semester, I had a dorm room all to myself because my squelching shoes on the wood floor would have definitely woken up any roommate if I had one.

I took off my shoes and stripped off all my cold, soaked clothes and left them in a pile in the entry way before walking onto the gray carpet of my small dorm living room. I stepped over the drying textbooks and discarded backpack as I made my way straight through my room and into the nice warm shower.

I stood under the hot spray longer than I should have considering how early I had to get up tomorrow. I had an exam first thing in the morning for my Contemporary Literature class and an essay due for my Modern Irish Literature class in the afternoon I had yet to completely finish.

I hated writting essays. Ironic for an English major. But I just hated it. And it was making me stressed.

I just wanted to relax and enjoy my hot shower—darn it!

At this rate, I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep. I was tired and not in the mood, but I went for the one thing that would unstress me the heck out and make me forget that stupid essay.

I reached for the shower head and adjusted the setting from the gentle rain fall—to the pulsing three jet streams of the sprayer. I brought down the sprayer to my clit. I jumped a little at the hot water that felt good on my back, but was a little too harsh for my sensitive skin.

I grit my teeth and kept it there anyway; pressing the pulsing spray against between my legs to focus on the hot burn instead of my stupid essay.

It didn’t burn so much anymore and was actually starting to feel good. I angled the spray to pulse in just the right spot and let the pleasure consume me. It wasn’t good enough to bring me over the edge, but it was good enough to relax me and make me forget about a certain task I needed to finish tomorrow.

I sighed and turned off the water; and groaned when I saw in my earlier haste I hasn’t set out a towel. I braved the cooler air of my bedroom and fished a towel out of my closet.

It immediately went around me as I dashed straight back to the warm humidity of the bathroom. I finished getting ready for bed and dropped the towel to the floor as I changed into a black University of Alabama t-shirt, underwear, and black sleep shorts.

I crawled into bed with my flashcards for my test tomorrow and fell asleep after going over the fifth notecard. Out like a light. Nice and floating into a black nothingness.

My Blacksmith Savior
