Prologue

Hundreds of knights from different kingdoms in Tellus were in a massive ground and were fighting with another group of knights from another world. Dangerous creatures were appearing behind the dark mountains and were ready to attack the knights of Tellus. Bright lights were shot from the Tellus knights and some lights successfully aimed at the creatures. The creatures grabbed some knights then slammed threw some knights against the mountains.

Lithanya Manrayar finished fighting her opponents who surrounded her earlier and watched some of the knights in her group getting slammed against the mountains. Lithanya used her most powerful spell and shot a bright green light at all the creatures. The spell burst into bright green waves that also caused the knights on the ground to be hit by those waves. Lithanya used another spell to throw the creatures away from the knights to fall somewhere else. The creatures were thrown against the mountains while slowly disappearing to thin air.

Lithanya noticed that most of the knights that were part of The Shadow Knight Empire were struggling to fight with their opponents. Bhavish, Lithanya’s main head knight in Tellus, appeared by her with full stress.

“Your majesty. We should hide in the building in front of us. There’s too many of them compared to our army.”, he said with full stress and fear.

Lithanya looked at the number of knights coming towards her and her empire, which was hundreds of them, more than Lithanya’s knights.

“Are my family in the building?”, she looked at Bhavish.

“Yes.”

“Then let’s go.”, she made her decision and looked at her knights. “RETREAT!!!”, her voice echoed across the field for her knights to listen.

All her knights on the field listened and acknowledged her order. Before their opponents could come closer, Lithanya’s knights were running away to the abandoned building. Lithanya reminded where she was to make sure that all her knights went into the building. Even if it required her to fight against her opponent. Her main duty was that everyone was in that building safe and sound. She shot a few powerful spells to prevent her opponents getting closer to her knights.

Bhavish grabbed Lithanya’s arm and pulled her closer to him. He also made her run with him to the building because her life was just as important as all her knights.

Lithanya and all her knights were now in the abandoned building with her family now. Her knights closed the doors properly and Ashok placed a spell to shield the doors.

“That should hold for the next four hours.”, he said.

Everyone felt a bit eased until they heard the opponents trying to break the doors down. Lithanya was having a bad feeling about this that her stomach was twisting a little bit.

Suddenly, they heard arrows shooting from different distances and aiming at the knights outside. Lithanya flinched a little bit when she kept on hearing every single shot from different directions. Some knights went by the windows to see what was happening outside because they could hear the men groaning in pain. Bhavish was also looking out the window and saw all the knights lying on the ground with arrows in their bodies.

“Your majesty, all the knights are dead.”, he looked at her with stress and confusion.

Lithanya’s eyes slightly widened a little bit and stared at Bhavish. “That’s impossible.”, she said calmly and softly.

Before she could allow Bhavish to answer, Lithanya’s eyes went to a window where Yaithra’s face was reflecting. Yaithra had a small wicked smile while she was looking at the dead bodies.

Eyana was looking around the dark and almost debris building until her eyes went to a corner. “Lithanya.”, she called her big sister.

Before Lithanya could look at Eyana, Lithanya heard sounds of the swords being pulled out and they were pointing at her knights. More mysterious knights appeared and surrounded the Vacanta knights, pointing the swords to prevent the Vacanta knights from escaping.

As always, Lithanya remained calm while watching her knights being surrounded by these mysterious knights. Her eyes were looking at the mysterious knights with the corner of her eyes and she immediately recognised who they were by their black and white marbled uniform.

The knights in front of Lithanya started making a small pathway that led to the corner where Eyana was looking at earlier. Footsteps were coming out of the corner so as the figure of the footsteps. A few Vacanta knights appeared in front of Lithanya to protect her from this person. Slowly when this person came into light that came from the full moon, her eyes widened in deep shock.

“What are you doing here?”, she asked.

Xiang was now standing in the bright moonlight, staring at Lithanya with his bright green small eyes. He used a spell and the knights in front of her dropped their swords with Xiang’s force. Now Xiang was able to get closer to her but her knights weren’t allowing her to get closer to him.

“Came to help you since you were under distress and I’m also here to help you with this continuous war.”

She found it quite strange because her mind was completely shielded to prevent others from reading her mind. She also shielded everyone’s mind in her continent, including her opponents, before her opponents could bring their allies to help them.

“How did you know that we were in distress when I had everyone’s minds shield, including our enemies?”, she asked.

Xiang stared at her with no expression. “You tell me. You saw the answer not long ago.”

Her eyes widened again then her face slowly turned to Yaithra. When her attention went to Yaithra, Yaithra immediately looked at the ground with her hands together. Her fingers were moving a little bit and showed signs of nervousness.

“Don’t get mad at her. I was the one who encouraged her to hand over your plans on this war so I can help you strengthen your army.”, he explained.

She looked back at him. “I didn’t want anyone to get involved because I don’t want more people to get hurt. That was the purpose of shielding the minds.”, she defended her decision.

“Then you would’ve been struggling to fight against your enemies just now.”, Xiang hissed.

Before she could answer again, she saw Shuchang, Haoran, Mingze and Yuxuan coming out of the darkness. “What are they doing here?”, she asked.

Xiang was looking at her knights. “Tell your knights to move out of the way so I can have a proper conversation.”

The knights refused to listen to him until Lithanya made a decision. “It’s fine, move out of the way.”

They were skeptical about her getting closer to him considering that Xiang and Lithanya had always been on bad terms. She squashed herself in between her knights, this time without her hands together. Now she was right in front of Xiang.

“To answer your question. We’re all here to help you. We’re also getting your allies involved to help you win this war. And more specifically, I’m here to help you with something.”, he explained steadily.

It was very rare that Xiang wanted to help her considering that they had always been on bad terms like fighting and always fighting with each other. There were times he would insult her so this was a rare moment that Xiang would want to help her. She also noticed that his expression was completely different this time.

“And what do you want to help me with specifically?”, she asked.

He stared at her for a moment. “With some things that you’ve been hiding in your wardrobe and you know what I’m talking about.”
