Chapter 1 Polly pocket
"Lily! It's time to get up! You're gonna be late!", at the sound of my mothers voice I shoot up in my bed.
Hair trickling down my face, as I begin to rub the morning dirt out of my eyes. I hear a sound to the side of me. Turning in the direction of my door way I catch glimpse of snickering figure, dressed in a navy blazer holding our school logo.
His dirty blonde hair flopped to one side, as his fringe very lightly covers his cystal blue eyes. An amused look played on his lips, "You getting up anytime soon?" he asked.
Taking too long to answer his question, the boy turnt around. Stopping halfway down the hall, he pauses before, going any further. With a look over his shoulder, he smirks.
"I'd rethink that Polly pocket T-shirt unless you want to get introuble with Mr Saunders this morning".
A sudden rush of heat comes over me as I look down at my Nightwear causing me to scream after him, "Jules! You perv!”.
Now fully dressed, I slide myself down my stairs railing, whilst attempting to pull my hair up into a somewhat decent ponytail.
After entering the choas of the kitchen, I duck down as hurried items are thrown in the air to passbyers trying to get to work on time.
Searching around the room I spot Jules sitting on my counter devouring a slice of jam on toast. Marching over towards him, I manage to snag the last bite before, he finishes it.
"Hey! That's mine" Jules sulks.
"Think of it as payment for stalking my door frame this morning" I say with a smirk as I bite down on the piece of now cold toast.
Jules rolls his eyes before, jumping down from the worktop.
I watch as he picks up both our bags throwing them over his shoulder and heading towards the kitchen back door.
Stopping a few steps ahead of me Jules turns around with a boyish smile, “You coming?”.
Making our way through the back of the houses towards school I can’t help but, stare up at the sky. Watching as the clouds murge together.
Most of our mornings start off just like this one. Jules pops over to mine and we walk this exact same route to school together.
It helps that all he has to do is jump over the fence, as he lives literally next door to me.
Lost in my thought, I suddenly lose my footing and begin to fall forward. Luckily Jules is there to steady me.
Passing over an appreciative smile I refocuse on what’s in front of me. “Lost in thought are we?” Jules asks curiously.
“Not really…Just wandering how today is going to go” I reply fiddling with the hem of my school skirt nervously.
Jules stares at me for a moment before, taking a deep breath and shutting his eyes.
“It’ll be okay” he states matter of fact. I redirect my gaze towards Jules and tilt my head before, Jules continues.
“You’ve got us”, re-opening his eyes, Jules plasters on another boyish smile.
Caught in the moment, Jules and I hold our eye contact for a short while causing flutters to erupt in my chest.
Our moment of silence promise, however is interrupted by the sound of excited squealing and calling.
