Jovie got a few plates from the kitchen cabinet. The two of them talked about everything under the moon. That is when Caden dropped the L word. Jovie looked at her phone and checked the time, she was getting tired and she could tell that Caden was also. “What do you say we go to bed?” Jovie asked. “Sounds like a good idea. Do you mind if I sleep in my boxers?” “No, I sleep in a tee shirt and underwear.” “Okay.”

Jovie cleaned up the pizza and wine bottles. Caden was already in the bedroom getting the bed ready, he turned down the blankets and slipped in. Jovie joined him and cuddle up next to him, he put his arm around her and she placed her head on his chest. It felt so good to have someone in bed to cuddle with.

Jovie snuggled deeper down into his chest and pulled his tattooed arm tighter around her. He kissed her forehead and hugged her. She sighed and closed her eyes. With a few minutes she was asleep and so was Caden. Jovie knew that Heather was his niece but it was shock to her what he had told her about Kylie being his ex wife and still working with her. But she would not get jealous, she was not like that. To her a man was not worth getting jealous over. She wondered who else he was, what he was into.

Jovierolled over out of Caden’s arms and on to her stomach, she felt Caden lay his arm a cross her back. For once in her life she felt safe, the safety she never had growing up. She wanted to tell her mother about Caden but he wanted it to be a secret for now.

The morning sun peeked through the window waking both of them. Jovie looked at the clock on her phone it was eight thirty. Caden was not in bed next to her. She wondered if her had left her, but when she opened the bed room door she smelled eggs and bacon. She peeked out the door and tiptoed into the kitchen. “I wanted to surprise you with breakfast, have a seat and I will bring it to you.” Caden said. Jovie took a seat at the bar. “You did not have to do make breakfast.” “Yes I did.” He replied and handed her a plate. He made him a plate and sat down next to her. And made him eat next to her. She was so happy to finally have someone like Caden.

She enjoyed his company and wanted more of him, she wanted him to stay more, or maybe stay at his place.
