Two lives?
It was just the start of the second year of high school.
The day was sunny. The hallways of the school were filled with students. There were a lot of voices, like gossip between some friends who were planning to hang out later, like a teacher scolding a student because he was caught smoking,but these voices ended soon. After these a new sound was heard,a sound of crying, a sound for forgiveness and pain.
It was the sound of the new transfer student, begging for mercy while his face was being punched continuously by a heavy fist.
His nose started bleeding, two of his teeth broke,only then was he left after an apology. You may ask, how did he end up like this? Whose fist was it?
He ended up in this situation after he finished introducing himself to everyone in the class. As soon as it was done, the class ended. He tried talking to his new classmates.
Bragging about how he beat up a kid in his previous school because of which he was transferred. He was lying, he just wanted to get in power as soon as possible.
He was caught harassing a girl in his previous school, which left the girl in a serious situation. After the investigation was done by the school, they also found out about him and some other kids doing drugs in the school.
He would have been expelled and a case could have been filed against him by the girl, but luck was on his side. He was filthy rich. His dad's money let him out of it all and framed the case as bullying and nothing more.
After what he did in the previous school, this beating was deserved. But the real reason for the beating was something else.
While he continued to brag more about his dad's money. He accidentally bumped into someone...
Someone who he shouldn't have. It was the biggest mistake he had made in the new school, and that also on the first day.
He said," who do you think you are bumping into?!"
The other guy didn't reply, and stared at him with no emotions on his face.
The rich bastard wasn't that strong physically nor did he have a big physique, he just had a near average body but he acted tough.
Thinking this would make everyone scared of him, or this would make his rank higher at this new place. That's why he continued to act aggressively.
He said,"Why are you staring at me like a bitch!?"
The guy continued to look at him, but now with some emotions, an evil smile.
The rich bastard said again,"Who the he-"
And that was it. Before he could end the sentence, the heavy fist came flying, breaking his nose instantly.
He got unconscious after that and was going to fall on the ground but before he could fall.
The guy punched him again in the eye. The rich bastard was still unconscious,laid on the floor.
That guy didn't like it. He felt bored. So he punched him again until he got back to his senses. The moment he saw him open his eyes he punches him and the rich bastard came out screaming.
And now he started shedding tears, apologising and begging the guy to stop but he could only see with his one good eye, the guy smiling at him.
That smile made him feel fear for the first time. He thought he could get away with anything and nobody could dare mess with him.
But that guy was enjoying while he begged him for mercy. Now the rich bastard knew. He should not mess with this guy again,ever.
Only after blood came out of his mouth that guy finally said something,"Aww, look at you. Crying already?"
He tilted his head, grin widening.
"I was just getting started."
The rich bastard couldn't think clearly after all this,the pain and humiliation made him lose his mind. He said in a trembling voice while it was breaking," Yo-u do-n't k-n-ow wh-o my da-d is...."
That guy gave a smile and said,"You’re not the first one to think daddy’s cash makes him king."
He wiped blood off his knuckles casually.
"And you won’t be the last one to learn it doesn’t."
He said,"You talk too much for someone who bleeds so easily."
He stood up slowly, looking down at the broken kid.
"Next time bring your dad so he could beg for mercy too."
While that guy went his way, the rich bastard slowly got unconscious again and the hallway stayed dead silent.
Everyone watched this,but they couldn't dare to intervene, because that guy was none other than the biggest trouble maker and bully of the school.
His name was Daniel.
And he was at the top of the chain.
The rich bastard who just got beat up was James.
Daniel is one of the two lives, but James isn't. So, who is the other one you may ask?
Well, it's none other than, one of the kids who saw this all happening in the hallway.
His name was,Light.
Light saw everything the punches, the begging, the crying and the smile. The smile which he has seen for years. Light has been bullied by Daniel and his subordinates for years now but never had he ever, felt these many emotions at the same time.
He had felt fear before, he had felt miserable before, but, today he felt not just fear like everyone does. He was feeling fear,like everyone, his heart was racing, his legs were trembling,but deep inside, he felt angry.
He realised that he had always hated Daniel but the fear wouldn't let his thoughts out.
He didn't know why but only today could he feel this hatred.
He was feeling bad about james,
But it's not just that. It was something else which triggered this.
Maybe something special.
He whispered with his mixed emotions, while his bag slipped off his shoulder,"only if.... He knew how he felt!".
Daniel was the school bully, more like the head of the school.
He had strength and a big physique, which was the result of his years of training in martial arts. Not all could talk to him, and not all knew a lot about him.
But someone who does know something about him was, Light. He knew Daniel since middle school,not because they were friends but because he was bullied by him for years,while his fate always made him sit behind him.
Light was the complete opposite of Daniel. He didn't have a big physique,he was skinny, his physique was even smaller than the rich kid James. He wasn't strong and cruel like Daniel nor was he like James or any other kid.
He was different, not because he wanted to,but because Daniel made him like that. He was a quiet kid but not by his own choice.
Their lives were already connected with each other,but soon, they both will become an important part of each other's life.
They had different worlds but now they were going to merge.
These are the two lives.
