"LIAN THE ROMANCER Cutie Pie is a funny, uncomplicated read similar to the tv series. I was shocked by how close the series is to the events in the book, though there were creative liberties with the script. There are some questionable moments regarding consent, so if you don’t like dubious consent narratives this might not be the book for you. The series does a better job of being clear on getting consent before the nc scenes, which I loved. I really enjoyed Kuea and Lian’s personalities in this and wish they had amplified it in the show. Lian’s especially. He's portrayed well in the series, but the book was a whole different level. My mans was STARVING. I enjoyed reading this. It did drag at times, but I love seeing couples in their domestic eras too. I’m not a romance book kind of person. It always has to be romance + something. This was just a simple rom com that had a decent amount of drama to keep you flipping through til the end. For that reason, I’m not sure if I’d read it again. But never say never..."
