Story Notes

His hand slid between her legs, finding her still sensitive and slick. He stroked her slowly, building the pleasure again, watching her face as she responded to his touch. When she was close, he stopped, making her whimper with frustration.

"Please," she begged.

"Please what?"

"Please fuck me. I need you inside me. I need to feel you."

He rose above her, quickly shedding his remaining clothes. Elena's eyes travelled down his body, taking in every detail the broad shoulders, the defined chest with its dusting of dark hair, the washboard abs that spoke of hours in the gym, and finally his cock, thick and hard and straining toward her. He was beautiful, every inch of him, and the thought that he was about to be inside her made her core clench with anticipation.

"You're sure?" he asked one last time. "You're absolutely sure? Because once we start, I don't think I'll be able to stop."

He watched her through heavy-lidded eyes, his hands gripping her hips. "You're so beautiful like this. Taking what you want. Using my body for your pleasure."

"I want you," she admitted. "I want all of you. Every part."

His hips thrust up to meet her, driving deeper. She leaned forward, bracing her hands on his chest, and increased her pace. The new angle rubbed her clit against him with every movement, and soon she was hurtling toward climax.

"Come with me," she begged. "Please, Alessandro, come with me."

The Weight of Legacy

Elena Moretti stood before the full-length mirror in her childhood bedroom, her fingers trembling slightly as she adjusted the delicate lace veil that cascaded over her shoulders. The woman staring back at her was a stranger someone she barely recognized in the exquisite wedding gown that had cost more than most people’s monthly salaries.

The silk felt cool against her skin, the bodice fitted perfectly to her curves, and the train stretched behind her like a river of ivory. Her dark hair, usually pulled back in a practical ponytail as she worked the vineyards, had been styled in soft waves that tumbled over her shoulders, and diamond earrings borrowed from her mother caught the light with every small movement.

Twenty-five years old, and I’m getting married to a man I’ve met exactly four times.

She let out a slow breath, willing her hands to stop shaking. The reflection in the mirror showed a beautiful bride, but inside, Elena felt like she was standing on the edge of a cliff, about to step off into unknown waters.

The dress was stunning she’d give the designer that. Ivory silk that hugged her generous curves in all the right places, a sweetheart neckline that showcased the swell of her full breasts, and delicate lace sleeves that ended just below her elbows. Her mother had cried when she’d first tried it on. Elena had felt nothing but a strange, hollow acceptance.

“You look beautiful, Tesoro.”

Elena turned to find her mother, Sophia, standing in the doorway. At fifty-five, Sophia Moretti still possessed the kind of timeless beauty that made people stare dark hair only lightly threaded with silver, warm brown eyes that held decades of wisdom, and a figure that had borne one child but remained elegant and graceful.

But today, those dark eyes held a sadness that Elena recognized all too well. It was the same sadness her mother had carried since the day they’d realized the vineyard was in trouble, the same weight that had settled over their family like a winter fog.

“Mamma.” Elena forced a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “I look like I’m going to my own execution.”

Sophia crossed the room slowly, her heels clicking against the hardwood floors that had creaked under the footsteps of three generations of Moretti women. She took Elena’s hands in hers, squeezing gently. Her palms were warm, slightly rough from years of working alongside her husband in the vineyards a working woman’s hands, despite the elegant dress and pearls she wore today.

“I know this isn’t what you imagined for yourself,” Sophia said softly. “I know you wanted love real love, the kind that sweeps you off your feet and makes your heart race. The kind that fills the silence between two people with comfort instead of awkwardness.”

“Instead, I’m getting a business arrangement wrapped in a white dress and sold to the highest bidder.”

Elena’s voice was bitter, though she tried to keep it neutral. She pulled her hands away, turning back to the mirror to fuss with her veil anything to avoid seeing the pain in her mother’s eyes.

“Alessandro Rossi is a playboy, Mamma. His picture has been in every gossip magazine in Italy for the past five years. Models, actresses, socialites he’s bedded half of them and broken the hearts of the other half. The articles call him ‘Italy’s Most Eligible Bachelor’ and ‘The Rossi Heir Who Can’t Be Tamed.’ They photograph him on yachts in Capri, in nightclubs in Milan, with beautiful women draped over him like accessories.”

“And yet, he’s agreed to this marriage.”

“Because his board of directors demanded it. They think a wife will make him look more respectable, more stable. A pretty Italian bride from a good family, photographed on his arm at charity events and family functions.”

Elena laughed bitterly, the sound hollow in the quiet room.

“And we need his money to save the vineyard. It’s a transaction, pure and simple. He gets his respectable facade, and we get to keep the land that’s been in our family for three generations. It’s like something out of a historical novel selling the daughter to save the estate.”

Sophia was quiet for a long moment, the only sound the distant murmur of guests arriving downstairs. When she spoke again, her voice was gentle but firm.

“Transactions can grow into something more, Elena. Your father and I didn’t start with much, but we built something beautiful together. Our marriage was arranged too, you know by our families, who thought we’d be a good match. We didn’t love each other at first. We had to learn to love, to choose each other every day until choosing each other became as natural as breathing.”

Elena turned sharply. “I didn’t know that. You never told me that.”

“Because it’s not the romantic story young girls want to hear. They want fairy tales love at first sight, sweeping gestures, instant chemistry.” Sophia smiled sadly.

“But real love, lasting love that’s different. That’s built over time, through shared struggles and small kindnesses and the decision to stay when staying is hard. Your father and I chose each other. We chose to build something together. And in the end, that choice became the deepest love I’ve ever known.”

“Mamma, please.” Elena held up a hand, feeling tears threaten.

“I appreciate what you’re trying to do. I do. But I’ve accepted what this is. Alessandro Rossi and I will sign papers, smile for the cameras, and go our separate ways as soon as it’s appropriate. He’ll get his respectable facade, and we’ll get the investment we need to keep the vineyard from going under. End of story. I’m not expecting a fairy tale, and I’m certainly not expecting love.”

Sophia studied her daughter’s reflection for a long moment. Elena could see the worry in her mother’s eyes the same worry that had been there ever since they’d realized the vineyard was in trouble. Three generations of Moretti winemaking, centuries of tradition, all of it hanging by a thread. And Elena, their only child, had been the one to step forward and offer herself as the solution. She’d done it without hesitation, without tears, without asking for anything in return. She’d simply walked into the family meeting where they’d been discussing their options and said, “I’ll do it. I’ll marry him.”

“You’re stronger than you know,” Sophia finally said.

“And you have more love in your heart than you give yourself credit for. Don’t close yourself off completely, Elena. You never know what might happen. Life has a way of surprising us when we least expect it.”
