The boy who woke up under two moons
Chapter 1: The Boy Who Fell Into the Stars
Jason had learned one truth in his life:
Silence hurts less than people.
At school, he kept his head low.
He avoided attention.
He avoided conversations.
The other students laughed somtimes.. not loudly, but enough to make him feel small. Words were thrown around carelessly, but they stayed in his heart longer than anyone realized.
Jason never fought back.
Not because he was weak.
But because he was tired.
At home, things weren’t better. His stepfamily treated him like a burden someone who existed only to help, clean, and obey. Praise was something other children received. Jason had only responsibility.
No one asked how he felt.
No one noticed when he stayed quiet for too long.
He began to believe he was invisible.
That night, after finishing everything expected of him, Jason lay down on his thin mattress. His room was dim, the air heavy.
He stared at the ceiling and whispered to himself:
“Somewhere… there must be a place where people care.”
He had heard stories of kindness, of worlds where values mattered more than power. He didn’t know if such a place truly existed but he liked imagining it.
For the first time in years, he allowed himself to dream.
And then… he fell asleep.
When Jason opened his eyes again, everything had changed.
The darkness was gone.
Above him were two glowing moons, shining in a sky filled with soft colors he had never seen before.
He wasn’t in his room.
He was lying on smooth, luminous grass.
The air felt clean almost alive.
Strange floating lights drifted gently around him like fireflies made of stars.
Jason sat up quickly, his heart racing.
“Where am I?”
His voice sounded small in the open space.
Footsteps approached.
Jason froze.
But instead of fear, what he saw next surprised him even more.
A girl stood a short distance away.
She wore warrior-like clothing, simple yet strong. A silver emblem rested near her shoulder. She carried herself with confidence but her expression was calm and kind.
Her eyes were sharp, yet warm.
“I haven’t seen you before,” she said gently. “Are you lost?”
Jason didn’t know how to respond. No one had ever spoken to him like that without judgment.
She stepped closer, but not in a threatening way.
“My name is Mia Anderson,” she introduced herself. “Warrior of Terylex.”
Terylex.
The name echoed in his mind.
“This is the planet Terylex,” Mia continued. “A world built on harmony, respect, and shared strength.”
Jason looked around again.
People in the distance were helping one another. Children trained together. Elders were respected. No shouting. No mockery. No cruelty.
It felt unreal.
Too peaceful.
Too different from his world.
Mia noticed his quiet expression.
“You look like someone who has carried pain for a long time,” she said softly.
Jason felt something tighten in his chest.
No one had ever noticed that.
He hesitated… but for some reason, he trusted her.
“I… wasn’t treated well on my planet,” he admitted quietly. “People didn’t see me. Or they didn’t want to.”
Mia didn’t look surprised.
She didn’t pity him either.
Instead, she said something that stayed in his heart:
“Then maybe Terylex brought you here for a reason.”
Before Jason could ask what she meant, a distant vibration echoed through the ground.
The sky flickered.
For just a second the peaceful light dimmed.
Mia’s expression changed instantly.
She turned toward the horizon.
“That shouldn’t be happening…”
Far away, dark energy swirled faintly in the sky, like a shadow trying to spread.
Jason felt it too a strange pressure in the air.
Terylex was in danger.
Mia stood straight, determination filling her eyes.
“As a warrior, my duty is to protect this planet,” she said firmly. “And if there is a threat, I will face it.”
Then she looked at Jason.
“But I think your arrival is not a coincidence.”
Jason’s heart pounded.
For the first time, someone looked at him not as a burden…
But as someone important.
Mia extended her hand.
Not as a command.
But as an invitation.
“Will you help us?”
Jason stared at her hand.
In his old world, no one ever asked for his help.
Here, someone believed he could make a difference.
Slowly… hesitantly… he reached out and accepted her hand.
The moment their hands touched, a soft glow surrounded them.
Jason felt warmth spread through him not fear, not pain.
Strength.
Belonging.
Hope.
Mia smiled slightly.
“Welcome to Terylex, Jason.”
And in the distance, the dark sky flickered again.
Something was coming.
The planet’s peace would soon be tested.
And two lives , one broken, one brave were about to change forever.
