Chapter-1
“Nooooo!!!” I screamed when i saw the walk in freezer door of the store shut behind me with no way of opening it from inside , trapping me with the man the despise the most “The infamous Ryan”
Its been weeks that we rasied complaints regarding the freezer which has issues with opening it from inside when its closed,
But somehow this “dude” just forgot that and closed the door when we are assigned to check the stocking of the freezer that day, trapping me and him in this cold ice room ,god know till when
It took him 10 seconds to realize why i screamed an exaggerated “No” out of no where.
“Shit, my bad !” Said Ryan realizing that he might have pushed us to the death , by turning us blue and cold
“I’m going to call the manager so we can get out of it as quick as possible” said without even apologizing for what he did
“Enough!!! First you shut the door like a dumb idiot and don’t apologize for trapping me here and saying that you’ll call manager as if nothing is wrong” i yelled at him which shocked him and I.
Its true that i despise this man to the core and he drives me to the edge but i never yelled it him like this before , I’ve always been passive aggressive and very subtle in showing my dislike for him.
I took a deep breath after realizing what I did ,but he did not utter a single word he is standing there looking at me ,then he looks down at his phone tapping the screen as if he is texting somebody.
“Are you for real?? Texting, just call somebody !” I spoke out loud while rubbing my hands together for some warmth since it’s been 2-3 mins already.
“Do you think i don’t know that! There is no god dang signal in this freezer because it’s located at the farthest ends of the world for us to get a signal or for someone to hear us even if we shout out from top of our lungs!! He said in one breath “and I TRIED CALLING already, but it won’t even ring that’s why I’m texting the manger to see of he can get my message “said he ,while showing me the text he just sent which is still “sending……..”
“On my goddd I can’t t believe how stupid you are— before I could even finish my sentence Ryan interrupted me by saying that “and yet I’m the only one wearing a jacket unlike you “
“Because I didn’t planning on locking myself in the freezer that's y " I shot at him and said "it's only fair if you give me your jacket since you caused this mess"
He chuckled by saying "Seriously! Do I look stupid to you?" "Isn't that what I said right now" I replied with a scowl .
"But seriously why would give my jacket to YOU! ?" "because you owe me one"I demanded
He signed which let out a visible breath indicating it's been 5 mins in the freezer and yet the text he sent is still in "sending…..", he sent another one.
It's close to 7 mins and and it's evident with goosebumps that I'm feeling colder now .
"Okay let's make a deal , let's exchange the jacket for 3 mins so we can endure the cold?,how about that? He said in a defeated tone.
"Okay!! " I said, wearing the jacket while shivering.
My three minutes are up I gave jacket back to him and rubbing my hands together while shivering.Ryan grabbed both my hands with his and kept them in the pockets of the jackets
"What are you doing??" I exclaimed as it took me by surprise sending jolt of shock down my spine and some where else, which instinctively made me take my hands back .but he intertwined mine with his saying "let's them be ,it'll help you to warm your hands " I nodded without saying anything, standing there in front of him with hand-in-hand .
It's been close to a 15mins , we sent 5 to 6 text to my manager and colleague, yet no reply no rescue , we had to move to the no fan area in the freezer which is the corner of the freezer where is no fans blowing out the cold air.
"I don't know what to feel" I said while saying "I can't even face or my lips " while wearing jacket with both of our hands in the pockets
He let go of his hands and swiftly took his hands out of the packet grabbed me by hips with his right hand and placed his left hand on my face , it felt like somebody shook me up from sleep and I realized that we are so close to each other that there is no cold air or nothing between us and his hands or my face and around my waist ,instincts kicked in and I was about pushing him away with my hands
"Bodies together produce heat so it will help you keep warm"said he which made realize that it's true. But whatever we are doing, it isn't just warming up up my body but doing something far more than I wanted ;far more sweeter that I craved from his touch.
My sense took over me and before I can say "let go of- " his left hand gently cupped left side of my face spreading the warmth which made me feel soft ,made me melt into his hands ; made me push my head towards his hands.
"See I told you it will keep you warm ,now take your hands and hug me "he said with confidence which made me say "what the hell" without even thinking.
"Let me"he said while guiding my hands to a hug with my hands inside his shirt and told me clasps my hands together ,which i did , that made him let out saying "that's it". "This will keep you warm and don't hesitate to hold even tighter if you feel cold." He said while hugging me with both his hands.
"You can say thank you now" he mocked me by saying it, to which I said " You're a jerk, you don't apologize for what you did and now you demanding the thank you for me" i said annoyingly holding him tighter.
"I'm sorry for putting you through this" those are the words he said willingly that surprised me as he never apologized to me no matter what he did. That made feel some sort calm.
"thank you for keeping me warm and letting keep the jacket" I said , which I was wearing for more than 5 minutes now.
Seconds feels like mintues . After hugging him for a brief time period, I realized that his body is toned which indicates that he spends his time working out which might be the reason for his body to be warm even though we are in here for more than 15 minutes.the warmth of his body is melting me like butter and the hand of face making feel something else. More like wanting them somewhere to stop the choas down in me.
We are standing still ,hugging each other .He moved his face from his side to face me ; his hand cupping my face rubbed slowly against my skin, he gently trailed his thumb on my lips saying "so cold yet so beautiful" while looking down into my eyes. I could feel how my heart is reacting to that sensation and sentence,it thumping so hard that I'm pretty sure he can feel it, and there is another thumping that only I can feel down in me .With in seconds , I can feel his heart beating growing rapidly and him growing against mine at the same rate . He’s breath shortened, leaving a trail of tiny cloud of vapor.
He leaned in so close to my face just inches away from it, which made me gulp.With the utmost soft voice he said "I- I will keep them warm "he said looking at my lips .
