Story Description
In the prestigious halls of Hawthorne University, literature professor Evelyn Drake is renowned for her brilliance and her icy detachment. Graduate student Lila Voss is equally brilliant, fiercely ambitious and dangerously curious. When their worlds collide, attraction turns to obsession and desire to manipulation. Readers should be aware of the depictions of emotional abuse, possessiveness, stalking-like behaviours and manipulative interpersonal dynamics. There are also elements of betrayal, emotional vulnerability and toxic obsession that may be triggering to some. Even though all the characters within this book are adults, the narrative examines the complexity and consequences of relationships entangled with control, desire and secrecy.
