Summary

Janaki’s world shatters the moment she catches the man she loves in another girl’s arms. Heartbroken and unable to bear the betrayal, she drives away in tears, refusing to listen to his explanations. Blinded by pain and blurred vision, she meets with a terrible accident that leaves her unconscious. While some blame her for the crash, one stranger steps forward. Unlike the others, he sees beyond the broken car — he sees a broken girl. He rushes her to the hospital, unknowingly stepping into her life at its darkest moment. As Janaki begins to heal, both physically and emotionally, the stranger becomes her unexpected comfort. What starts as gratitude slowly turns into friendship… and then into something deeper. Sometimes, the person who breaks you is not the one meant to stay. And sometimes, an accident doesn’t end your life — It rewrites it.

Chapter 1

She stood outside his door, her heart fluttering like a restless bird.

In her hands, she held a small box — his favorite chocolates. She had searched three different shops just to find that exact brand he loved. A soft smile curved her lips as she imagined his reaction. Maybe he would tease her. Maybe he would pull her closer and thank her in that quiet way he always did.

Taking a deep breath, she gently pushed the door open.

“Surprise—”

The word died on her lips.

Her smile froze.

Time stopped.

He was standing near the window… but he wasn’t alone.

Another girl was in his arms.

They were hugging.

Not casually.

Not friendly.

Close. Intimate. Familiar.

Her fingers loosened.

The box slipped from her hands.

It hit the floor with a dull thud, chocolates scattering across the polished wood like pieces of her breaking heart.

He turned at the sound.

Their eyes met.

Shock filled his face.

But hers… hers was something else.

Not anger.

Not even tears.

Just pure devastation.
