When she was young her father sat her down and told her that she was given sacred abilities by the moon goddess. That she had strong alpha abilities and would one day rule as the truest Alpha. Chapter 1

It was a dark and stormy night, the perfect kind of night for Kara to run to her freedom. She was the wolf in the night able to race past trees and climb up the rocky mountain. She was covered in jet black fur, a great camouflage in the dead of night, where she was easly lost to the darkness.

On nights like this she felt like she was the Night itself. She could easily sneak away from her pack. The rain made scenting her harder but for an alpha it wouldn’t be a problem. An alpha could easliy track her through a storm, if they wanted to. And her father, the true alpha of the pack, could sense her for miles, but he had long sense given up on stopping Kara from going beyond his boundaries.

Since she was a young pup she always rembers having the ability to go past her fathers boundary. An ability no other wolf in her pack possessed. Though technically she wasn’t an alpha yet, her father explained that she had a strong alpha ability and that one day the day would come when she would be blessed by the moon goddess and would rule as the truest alpha.

A role she had never asked for and instead she felt a pull away from her pack, it was strange especially for a werewolf. That is why she has to be careful when leaving the pack and why its best on nights like this, when the others can’t sent for her absence. A rule her father appreciated her to follow in order for him to maintain control over his pack.

No one in her pack thought Kara could be a true alpha, because her eyes were blue and not red like most alphas are. And she was small for an alpha. It was her small human female body that was considered weak and an alpha can never appear weak. It didn’t matter that she had trained her whole life to become an alpha and that her wolf form had grown larger than everyone elses in her pack.

Kara started panting realizing that she had been running up the mountain in the opposite direction of her pack for awhile now. She must be getting close to the peak, that was where she needed to be. The highest point she could reach where she could howl to the moon in order to honor the moon goddess for her generous gifts.

Finally the moon shone through the clouds and revealed the clearing at the mountains peak. Kara burst through two trees and over a bush landing on all four paws at the top of the mountain and in that instant she howled as loud as she could. She was sure her pack wouldn’t be able to hear her from this distance and over the rain storm.

Only her father, an alpha, could possibly hear her but even he would have a hard time tonight. With thunder roaring above and lighting striking down. Kara was startled when lighting suddenly stroke down on the other mountain across from her revealing a set of two glowing red eyes.

Her father knew she left on nights like these, and he hadn’t followed her in a long time. But there were glowing red eyes staring at her, could it possibly be him? No! there’s no way! Kara thought. He was off leading the pack for a run. They would be gone for hours checking the perimeter of their compound and hunting small game to stock up for the week.

Shit! Kara thought, Did someone see her? She quickly jumped back behind some bushes as she scented the alpha approaching. It wasnt her father. The scent was unfamiliar and He was geting closer. How did he move so fast? He was on the other mountain just a second ago! She thought as She stayed down. She heard him jump into the clearing and howled just as she had. A sacred cry to the moon goddess. Then she heard him start sniffing the ground, searching.

But before he could sniff her out, she jumped out in order to take him by surprise. Though she ended up being surprised to see his all white coat which made her almost miss her mark as she landed on his back and bit down on his shoulder. He didn’t let out a yelp of pain but instead snarled and started thrashing around to try and shake her off.

One good shake and he sent her flying into the nearest tree. She winced from the impact and before she could get to her feet he was on top of her. He placed his two front paws on her keeping her pinned. His glowing red eyes burned into hers. She could feel him trying to link her, something only true alphas can do to other wolves even when they are not pack bound.

He wanted to probe her head for answers. But she wouldn’t let him. She snarled warning him to stop. To her surprise he did just that and stopped trying to link her. What did he want? She thought as he bagan to sniff her instead. Kara had experienced this once when she was younger and had just started running with the pack.

Once she had been sniffed by a classmate of hers after they had shifted and started chasing each other. When he had pinned her after catching her, he then started sniffing her. And she could tell that the physical touch had created heat in them as it often did to many adolescent wolves. But Kara was an alpha and wouldn’t submit. So she had scratched his face in order to escape him. Now the memory reminded her that that was the day she relized that she may never find a mate, let alone a true mate. She was an alpha after all, submission wasn’t an option, even when mating.

Kara could feel the heat of this alpha. He was scenting for her arousal. He was a stanger. She couldn’t belive this stark white alpha wanted to mate her. Would he try to force her? Wolves are known to be demanding. Kara remembers her father explainig to her about mating and how important it was for her to be careful with who she accepts as a mate.

For alphas choosing a mate would determin how strong the pack would become. Kara had to do something and quick. She snapped at the stark white alpha ontop of her. She watched as blood pooled down from his shoulder on to her, a reminder of the wound she had already inflicted on him.

To her surpise he stepped back giving her more space. Why was he doing this? Kara slowly got to her feet. The alpha snarled wanting her to stay down, but Kara wasn’t going to submit. She couldn’t it, it wasn’t in her. She had to dominate, to take charge. So she slowly got her footing and then she lunged at him again.

She was smaller than he was but her wolf was still very strong. She trained with her father and his beta. She could take this alpha on but was he really alone? She wasn’t sure, but no one else has showed up yet. Why was he even here? All the way out in the middle of nowhere.

There was only a small town near by that Kara goes and visits from time to time. There wasn’t any other packs in the area that Kara knew of and she had searched. Her father was the only one technically allowed to go into town to check on things but that didn’t stop her. Though it did stop all the others in their pack. She remebers her father’s beta told her once that for the rest of the pack it was an order and an order from an alpha came with painful consequences.

Now in the middle of nowhere a stark white alpha finds her? On her night of freedom he was able to senses her. Now her night is starting to become her nightmare. Lighting strkies to their left and Kara uses the distraction to hop over the alpha and escape. She feels him hot on her heels but she is the night and she easily weaves through the trees and down the mountain as fast as she could loosing him amongst the trees.

As she reaches the edge of the forest she hides waiting to see if he was still chasing her. She didn’t sense anything. Where did he go? He was fast! Much faster than her, she had thought. Could she really have out ran him? She did one more quick scan before she went down to the farm house near by. She saw a clothes line that had some forgotten clothes still hanging up.

She went into the barn and shifted into her human form and then quickly ran completely naked to the clothes line and grabbed the soaked dress off the line. It was better than nothing she thought at she pulled the dress over her head. It was a simple white dress with lace and buttons. If it was dry she was sure it would look nice. Kara sighed then headed off to the only place she thought she could lay low for a few hours, the local diner.

Bob’s Dinner was conviently open 24/7 which was odd for such a small town but it was her secret oasis. No need to be a werewolf or an alpha in training. No, there she could be a ‘human’ , not that she wanted to be one of them. She just liked not being apart of anything. She could just come in and order a slice of pie a la mode and a hot cocoa with extra marshmallow and wipped cream. There she was a girl, A ‘Normal’ girl, at least for a few hours on stormy nights.

As Kara kept walking in the rain she sensed the alpha again. She heard him and felt his presence even though he was far away in the distance. He must be tracking her. He probably wants to follow her back to her pack. She was glad she decided to go to the dinner then. Who knows what would’ve happened if she had led him back to her pack. She needed to keep him far away from there as possible.

But Kara was smart, she didn’t want him to know she was on to him so she had refrained from smeelling the air and acknowledging she scented him. If she acknowledges she can scense him then he would know her sences are far above a normal werewolves ability. She didn’t need him knowing she was an alpha in training.
