The Deal
Part 1 The Deal
The huge hall of the Red Rose Five-Star Hotel became pin-drop silent as the authorities came to the stage to declare the result of the contract. Businessmen who had coded the amount to own the contract gathered there to find out the result curiously.
Rajesh Malik was sitting in the first row, with an attitude that looked majestically confident about the deal because he had coded only a very small amount. So, he was sure that he would get the deal. He was the only heir of the Malik group of companies. This was Rajesh Malik’s first attempt in the business field. He wanted to prove himself to his mother, Amrita, who was a successful businesswoman in the city. She was the sole owner of the Malik Group’s whole property. She was married to her father’s friend’s son, Mr Avinash. Rajesh was their only son. Now, Rajesh was in need of proving himself fit for the business. This was a testing ground for him. So, Amrita gave him full freedom to do anything to get the deal. So, he coded a very small amount to win the auction.
Rajesh was curious because in a few minutes, every eye would be on him, and he would become the HERO of the huge high-class crowd.
The authorities declared the result. Rajesh’s face became dark. He could not believe he lost the deal. He sharpened his ear and listened.
“We request Mr Arnav Singh Raizada to come to the stage to complete the formalities…”
Every eye turned behind to see who Arnav Singh Raizada was. A charming, handsome young man headed to the dais. No smile on his face, but it didn’t lessen his beauty. In fact, he looked HOT with a rigid look.
It seemed he was also new to the field because he was not familiar with anyone. People asked the next one,
“Who is he?”
Rajesh also asked the same of his father Avinash. In no time, he left the place to collect details about Arnav Singh Raizada. He came to the place where ASR’s men were standing.
“Who is he?” he asked Arnav’s man.
“Arnav Singh Raizada… MD of AR groups…”
“I haven’t seen him before…”
“It’s because he is not in India. He just came from London.”
“What did he do there?”
“After completing his MBA there, he ran a business in London…”
“His father?”
“Arvind Singh Raizada…”
“I see…”
Avinashi came back to Rajesh and sat next to him.
“He is from London. Finished MBA in London…”
There was a slight jealousy on Rajesh’s face. Though he was a Billionaire, education was a distant relation to him. Besides being the heir of a businesswoman, he had no qualifications. Worst in discipline, Casanova, drunkard, womaniser, whatnot?
People started dispersing. Rajesh also stood up and got stuck, seeing his mother looking at him. He looked at her, feeling sad. She came to him.
“I’m sorry, Mom…”
“You no need to be sorry. I know you gave your best. Unexpectedly, someone coded less than us. Don’t lose your hope. My son is the best, no matter what…”
“I know you, Mom. You never let me feel low. You are the best…” he hugged his mother.
At the same time, Arnav finished the formalities and got off the stage. He stopped, seeing Amrita and smiled, which surprised Maliks, including Amrita. He came to them.
“Congratulations…” Amrita wished.
“Thanks… I read about you, but I didn’t expect to meet you sooner…” Arnav said politely.
“I’m glad you know about me. From here on, everyone will hear about my son…”
Arnav looked at Rajesh and walked, saying nothing. His guards followed him, protecting him on both sides.
“He seems haughty…” Avinash said.
“He won the deal after all… he can’t be haughty the next time because it will always be me the winner…” Rajesh said.
“That’s the spirit…” Amrita encouraged, as usual.
Raizada Mansion
Ratna rushed to Arnav, who entered the home. She stopped him and circled the thali. Arnav didn’t stop her even though he wasn’t fine with it.
“Congratulations, Chotte…” she hugged him.
“Thank you, Mom…”
Arvind smiled at him and tapped his back.
“You made it…”
“Thanks, Dad…” he touched their feet.
“You got everyone’s attention today, right?”
“Yes, Dad… everyone’s attention.”
“That’s nice. You will be in the highlight from here on…”
“Undoubtedly…I will create an empire in India.” Arnav said.
“You can create an empire later. Now, come and eat…” Ratna said, smilingly.
“Where is Di?”
“She said she would come with Shyam, but he became busy in the court. I think she will be on the way.”
“Let her come. We will have lunch together. I will get fresh then…” Arnav went to his room to get fresh.
Anjali came to RM with Shyam.
“Where is Chotte?” Anjali asked excitedly.
“I’m here…” Arnav, who descended the stairs, said.
“Congratulations, Chotte…”
“Thanks, Di…”
“Congrats, Sale Sahib…”
“Thanks, Jeeju…”
They sat at the dining.
“We are glad you are back in India…”
Arnav ate smilingly.
“By the way, Sale Sahib, when are you going to get married?”
Arnav stopped eating and asked,
“Why? Is any girl in your circle?”
“As if you are ready to marry her…” Anjali said.
Arnav continued eating smilingly.
“Don’t we know you and your expectations? You want you to choose your girl… right?”
“Is it wrong?”
“Who said? You can choose your girl… but you don’t know how many years it will take. Will you get satisfied easily?” She sighed.
“What’s so urgent, Di? Let it happen slow and steady… what say?”
“Don’t know where she is…”
“No worries… let her come relaxing…” Arnav stood up and went to wash his hands.
“It seems I can’t see my brother’s wedding soon,” Anjali murmured.
The next morning
A girl’s troop entered the five-star hotel with a large-sized cake, snacks, cool drinks, chocolates, etc. They were there to celebrate their friend’s birthday. They had booked a hall… it was not a party hall… just a hall because there were no party halls available that day, even though it was the hotel they regularly visit. So, they decided to adjust the normal hall.
They arranged the cake on a Royal table. The birthday girl was ready to cut the cake. Their friends put a birthday cone on her head and gave her a knife. The girl took it smiling.
That was when they heard,
“Stop it…”
They looked in the direction and saw the hotel manager standing at the hall’s entrance. They looked at them frowning.
“What happened?” a girl came forward.
“Sorry, Madam, you have to vacate the hall immediately.”
“Whaaaaaat?” All of them shouted.
“But why?” the girl who came forward asked.
“The VVIP customer of our hotel is coming…”
“So?”
“This is his hall. Whenever he visits our hotel, he will be here…”
“If he is a VVIP customer, who am I? I’m regularly visiting this hotel. I have a Golden membership card…”
“He has a Platinum card, Ma’am…”
The girl was stuck.
“But this is my friend’s birthday. I arranged her birthday party here to surprise her… How could I disappoint her?”
“I’m sorry, ma’am. We have no choice. He is a businessman. This hall is permanently booked for him because he wants to work peacefully. As you requested me a lot, I thought I would give this to you. But he has come here now…”
That was when a young man entered the hall, surrounded by his guards. He entered the hall, hearing their conversation. Yet, he asked,
“What’s happening here?”
The manager looked at him and became nervous.
“Sir, please give me a few minutes, and I will clear everything…”
The man looked at the girls who were gaping at him, forgetting themselves. Why wouldn’t they, if he had been dashing? The birthday girl was the one who got her senses first. She nagged her friend,
“Khushiii…”
She jerked and composed herself. She understood he was the VVIP customer mentioned by the manager. She rushed to him, but his guards stopped her, extending their hands. She was taken aback. She managed herself and said,
“Sir, today is my friend’s birthday. I decided to surprise her with the party. So, booked this hall, but now, the manager asked me to vacate the hall, after arranging everything…” she said pouting.
The manager came to her.
“Ma’am, what are you doing? Please leave the place. Please don’t create a scene…” he pleaded.
Khushi looked at the man who was looking at her sharply. She understood he would not help them. She pouted and was supposed to leave, but stopped hearing,
“Ok… you can celebrate your friend’s birthday…” he said.
The girl shouted in joy, which made the man close his eyes.
“But no DRINKS…”
The girls were dumbfounded.
“No, no, we don’t drink…” Khushi said.
He nodded.
The girls rushed to the cake table cheerfully.
“Thank you, sir…” Khushi smiled at him.
The man nodded.
“I will bill for this hall…”
“No need…” he simply said.
“Thank you, Mr…?”
The man stood with a mild smile. Another one who looked like his manager said,
“Arnav Singh Raizada…”
“Arnav Singh Raizada… sounds majestic… just like you…” Khushi rushed to her friends, whereas Arnav went to the corner table of the hall, smilingly.
